Variation of constants formula for functional parabolic partial differential equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2007
This paper presents a variation of constants formula for the system of functional parabolic partial differential equations $$displaylines{ frac{partial u(t,x)}{partial t} = DDelta u+Lu_t+f(t,x), quad t>0,; uin mathbb{R}^n cr frac{partial u(t,x ...

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Projection schemes for stochastic partial differential equations

open access: yes, 2009
The focus of the present work is to develop stochastic reduced basis methods (SRBMs) for solving partial differential equations (PDEs) defined on random domains and nonlinear stochastic PDEs (SPDEs).

On functional differential equations associated to controlled structures with propagation

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2016
The method of integration along the characteristics has turned to be quite fruitful for qualitative analysis of physical and engineering systems described by large classes of partial differential equations of hyperbolic type in the plane (time and one ...

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Characterising small solutions in delay differential equations through numerical approximations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
This paper discusses how the existence of small solutions for delay differential equations can be predicted from the behaviour of the spectrum of the finite dimensional approximations.Manchester Centre for Computational ...

A taylor collocation method for solving high-order linear pantograph equations with linear functional argument

open access: yes, 2010
WOS: 000295713200015A numerical method based on the Taylor polynomials is introduced in this article for the approximate solution of the pantograph equations with constant and variable coefficients.
