Excess-path-length distribution of fast charged particles

Physical Review D, 1987
The Yang equation of the excess-path-length distribution of fast charged particles due to multiple Coulomb scattering under general conditions is completely solved. The solution is an improvement of the Fermi solution, giving the joint distribution of only the angular and the lateral spreads, to include the excess-path-length distribution.

Spinorial relativistic particle in the presence of a minimal length

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2012
We study the (1 + 3) –dimensional Dirac equation of a particle under the action of a uniform E.M. field and in the presence of a minimal length of the energy-momentum space. The high-temperature thermodynamic properties are obtained.

On the spheroidization of rod-shaped particles of finite length

Journal of Materials Science, 1976
The governing equation for the capillarity-induced shape changes of a surface of revolution by surface diffusion, $$\frac{{\partial n}}{{\partial t}} = \frac{B}{y}\frac{\partial }{{\partial s}}\left( {y\frac{{\partial K}}{{\partial s}}} \right)$$ where∂n/∂t is the normal velocity of the surface,y is measured normal to the axis of revolution,s is ...

Gravitational length, strength of interactions and the superheavy particle

Lettere al Nuovo Cimento, 1983
A connection between the gravitation model of subquantum medium and the gravitational fundamental length is proposed. This link predicts the observed ratio of the gravitational to electromagnetic strength and suggests that the gravitational radius of intermediate vector bosons is the distance at which weak, electromagnetic and strong interactions ...

Analysis of particle penetration length into the wall crevices

Physics of Plasmas, 2010
The present work investigates the effects of the surface roughness on the plasma-wall interactions via kinetic simulations of an initial value problem using the particle-in-cell code VPIC [K. J. Bowers et al., Phys. Plasmas 15, 055703 (2008)]. Collisionless plasma immersed in parallel to the wall magnetic field is self-consistently interacting with a ...
