Arsenic trioxide transformed acute promyelocytic leukemia therapy and shows promise against HIV. A new method to solubilize the mineral realgar produces different arsenic species depleting the main arsenic target, nuclear PML protein, and retaining effects on leukemic and HIV reservoir cells, while minimizing off‐target damage.

Air Emissions of Ammonia and Methane from Livestock Operations: Valuation and Policy Options [PDF]
The animal husbandry industry is a major emitter of methane, which is an important greenhouse gas. The industry is also a major emitter of ammonia, which is a precursor of fine particulate matter—arguably, the number-one environment-related public health

Impact of Yagya on Particulate Matters
Particulate Matters (PM) is a result of air pollution and associated with health hazards. Studies support mild or strong association of PM with lung diseases including cancer, cardiovascular diseases, cognitive diseases, newborn mortality rate, etc. Particles of size < 2.5µM are declared as health hazard as they penetrate deep into lungs and lodge ...

Ecofriendly Upcycling of Poly(vinyl chloride) Waste Plastics into Precious Metal Adsorbents
Poly(vinyl chloride) waste plastics are simply transformed into high‐performance precious metal (PM) adsorbents via a facile and green hydrazine‐functionalization process. The resultant adsorbent effectively and selectively recovers PM from real‐world leachates via its combined chemisorption and reduction mechanisms.
