Prevalence of fetal anomalies, stillbirth, neonatal morbidity, or mortality in pregnancies complicated by placenta accreta spectrum disorders

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, Volume 104, Issue S1, Page 38-44, April 2025.
Placenta accreta spectrum disorders are associated with neonatal morbidity risks associated with prematurity and fetal sequelae of maternal bleeding rather than a direct consequence of the placentation abnormalities, and the absolute risk of fetal malformations remains low.

Plasma‐Treated Liquids for Medicine: A Narrative Review on State and Perspectives

open access: yesPlasma Processes and Polymers, Volume 22, Issue 1, January 2025.
Research on the medical application of plasma‐treated liquids is most advanced in the field of cancer treatment. Identifying optimal liquid compositions together with the chemical identification of biologically active molecules are the fundamental challenges in the field also from a regulatory point of view.

Description of Post Anesthetic Shivering (PAS) in Post Spinal Anesthesia Caesarean Section

open access: yesAndalas Obstetrics and Gynecology Journal
Background: Post anaesthetic shivering (PAS) is a fasciculation of the face, jaw, or head or the occurrence of muscle hyperactivity so that the body can produce heat after anesthesia. Multiple factors can influence the incidence of PAS including age, sex,

Plasmons in AlGaN/GaN grating-gate structure probing with 300 K background illumination

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2023
We show that terahertz plasmons in AlGaN/GaN grating-gate structures efficiently modulate the reflection of room temperature thermal radiation, leading to spectra that are in agreement with the measurements of plasmon absorption using high-power external

Autophagy in a Nutshell

open access: yesFEBS Letters, Volume 598, Issue 1, Page 7-8, January 2024.
Autophagy is an intracellular catabolic process that eliminates cytoplasmic constituents selectively by tight engulfment in an isolation membrane or recycles bulk cytoplasm by nonselective sequestration. Completion of the isolation membrane forms a double membrane vesicle, termed autophagosome, that proceeds to fusion with the lysosome, where the inner
