Microstress cycle and contact fatigue of spiral bevel gears by rolling-sliding of asperity contact [PDF]
The rolling contact fatigue (RCF) model is commonly used to predict the contact fatigue life when the sliding is insignificant in contact surfaces. However, many studies reveal that the sliding, compared to the rolling state, can lead to a considerable ...

In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

Integration of Low‐Voltage Nanoscale MoS2 Memristors on CMOS Microchips
This article presents the first monolithic integration of nanoscale MoS2‐based memristors into the back‐end‐of‐line of foundry‐fabricated CMOS microchips in a one‐transistor‐one‐resistor (1T1R) architecture. The MoS2‐based 1T1R cells exhibit forming‐free, nonvolatile resistive switching with ultra‐low operating voltages, low cycle‐to‐cycle variability ...

Dynamic Obstacle Avoidance of Mobile Robot Tele-operation Based on Non-contact Impedance Control [PDF]
An obstacle avoidance method using a non-contact impedance algorithm is proposed for a mobile robot in unknown terrain. By establishing non-contact impedance model, distance and approaching velocity between the mobile robot and an obstacle is regulated ...

Iron contact burns and the path to the diagnosis of child abuse
Burns are a common injury in both abused and non-abused children, and the accurate diagnosis of abusive burns is important to ensure protection. In the particular case of a three year old child with a second degree burn on her face and neck caused by an alleged contact with a hot iron, the correct analysis of the injury and the dynamics of what was ...
