The Effects of Glucagon‐Like Peptide‐1 Receptor Agonists and Sodium‐Glucose Co‐Transporter‐2 Inhibitors on Lean Body Mass in Humans: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis of Randomised Controlled Trials

open access: yesDiabetes/Metabolism Research and Reviews, Volume 42, Issue 5, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Aims The use of pharmacotherapies with weight loss properties for the management of obesity and chronic disease are now routinely prescribed. We investigated the evidence from randomised‐controlled trials for the effects on lean body mass of glucagon‐like peptide‐1 receptor agonists (GLP‐1RA) and sodium‐glucose co‐transporter‐2 inhibitors ...

Dietary Phytochemical Index and Its Relationship With Diminished Ovarian Reserve: Evidence From a Case–Control Study

open access: yesEndocrinology, Diabetes &Metabolism, Volume 9, Issue 4, July 2026.
A higher dietary phytochemical index was associated with lower odds of diminished ovarian reserve, highlighting the potential role of phytochemical‐rich diets in supporting ovarian function and reproductive health. ABSTRACT Introduction Diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) represents a significant contributor to female infertility and adverse reproductive ...

Advances in the Study of Endometrial Receptivity and Glucose Metabolism Mechanisms in Insulin Resistance

open access: yesEndocrinology, Diabetes &Metabolism, Volume 9, Issue 4, July 2026.
This article systematically reviews how insulin resistance (IR) disrupts endometrial receptivity by interfering with glucose metabolism mechanisms, ultimately leading to infertility in patients with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). ABSTRACT Introduction Insulin resistance (IR) is one of the important pathologic bases of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)

Curcumin Attenuates Aroclor 1254‐Induced Oxidative, Genotoxic, and Apoptotic Alterations in HepG2 Cells

open access: yesJournal of Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology, Volume 40, Issue 7, July 2026.
In HepG2 cells, Aroclor 1254 induced oxidative stress, DNA damage, apoptosis, and mutagenicity; co‐treatment with curcumin restored antioxidant defenses (GSH/thiols; SOD, CAT, GPx, GR, TrxR), reduced ROS and comet/8‐OHdG readouts, and attenuated caspase activation, demonstrating curcumin's hepatoprotective and genoprotective modulation of PCB toxicity.
