Concentration of anti-pneumococcal capsular polysaccharide IgM, IgG and IgA specific antibodies in adult blood donors

open access: yesPractical Laboratory Medicine, 2016
Objectives: Anti-pneumococcal capsular polysaccharide (PCP) IgM, IgG and IgA ELISAs have been developed to aid assessment of the adaptive immune system. The relationship between the concentrations of PCP IgM, IgG, and IgA was investigated.

Remote Assessment of Ataxia Severity in SCA3 Across Multiple Centers and Time Points

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3) is a genetically defined ataxia. The Scale for Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) is a clinician‐reported outcome that measures ataxia severity at a single time point. In its standard application, SARA fails to capture short‐term fluctuations, limiting its sensitivity in trials.

Two Novel Polysaccharides in Psoralea corylifolia L and anti-A549 Lung Cancer Cells Activity In Vitro

open access: yesMolecules, 2019
Two novel water soluble heteroglycan (PCp-I and PCp-II) with anti-A549 lung cancer cells activity were isolated from Psoralea corylifolia L. Their average molecular weights were 2.721 × 104 and 2.850 × 104.

Diminished Expression of Fat and Dachsous PCP Proteins Impaired Centriole Planar Polarization in Drosophila

open access: yesFrontiers in Genetics, 2019
Proper ciliary basal body positioning within a cell is key for cilia functioning. Centriole and basal body positioning depends on signaling pathways such as the planar cell polarity pathway (PCP) governed by Frizzled (Fz-PCP).

A Comparison of the M-PCP, D-PCP, and FMLP on LITMUSRT [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This paper presents a performance comparison of three multiprocessor real-time locking protocols: the multiprocessor priority ceiling protocol (M-PCP), the distributed priority ceiling protocol (D-PCP), and the flexible multiprocessor locking protocol (FMLP). In the FMLP, blocking is implemented via either suspending or spinning, while in the M-PCP and
