Thrombospondin‐4 is upregulated in abdominal aortic aneurysm: A vasoprotective response with potential therapeutic relevance

TSP4 is upregulated in human and experimental AAA. TSP4 knockdown accelerated AAA formation and exacerbated both vascular inflammation and remodelling, emphasizing that TSP4 upregulation may represent a protective response against AAA. Our findings suggest that preserving TSP4 could be a useful strategy in the clinical management of AAA.

Abstract Objective Acute symptomatic seizures (ASyS) occur in up to 30% of patients with intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) when continuous electroencephalography (cEEG) is used, potentially worsening outcomes. Not everyone is shrinking: increases in body mass and wing length in a Sand Martin (Riparia riparia) population in northwestern Italy over two decades

In recent decades, vertebrates, particularly birds, have exhibited notable morphological changes in response to climate change. In birds, these temporal trends usually entail a decrease in body mass and an increase in wing length, sometimes interpreted as a compensatory strategy to maintain migration.
