Abstract We present evidence of a previously unrecognized east‐west‐trending normal fault, named the Parguera Fault, in southwest Puerto Rico. The fault is located at the northwestern edge of seismicity from the southwest Puerto Rico seismic sequence that began in 2019, near the coastal town of La Parguera.

Pressure drops over a packed bed of pebble bed reactor type are investigated. Measurement of porosity and pressure drop over the bed were carried out in a cylindrical packed bed facility. Air and water were used for working fluids.

Abstract Previous studies have suggested that the linear superposition principle fails for thin‐layer overland flows, yet direct experimental evidence remains scarce. This work adopts high‐resolution particle image velocimetry (HR‐PIV) to measure the 2D flow fields of grain resistance and form resistance in thin‐layer overland flows.

Ocean sediments and shifting baselines—A call to revise European habitat classifications
Shifting baselines affect the appropriateness of existing habitat classification frameworks, potentially reducing MPA integrity and efficacy. To enable representative mapping, accurate sensitivity assessments and appropriate management of marine habitats, EUNIS classifications require more flexibility.
