Experimental assessment of a pebble reflector and pebble flow in a small scale recirculating pebble bed. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1966
The erosion behaviour of a pebble reflector was examined using small scale, three-dimensional, pebble-bed models and the split-bed technique. An exponential-type change in the reflector-fuel interface angle was indicated. The levelled value was about 13°

STUDI OPTIMASI MODERASI NEUTRON DALAM TERAS HTR PEBBLE BED [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010

Tectono‐Sedimentary Evolution of the Neogene İnegöl Basin (NW Anatolia): Constraints on Transtensional Basin Development at the Junction of the Western Anatolian Extensional Province and the North Anatolian Fault Zone

open access: yesGeological Journal, EarlyView.
The study outlines the tectono‐sedimentary evolution of the İnegöl Basin in north‐western Anatolia. Basin formation was controlled by interacting extensional and strike‐slip fault systems linked to uplift of the Uludağ Massif. Terrestrial sedimentation from the Miocene to Pleistocene is reconstructed using abundant fossil mammal assemblages that ...

Bryozoan‐Rich Carbonate Units of the Erfoud Area (SE Morocco) Record Latest Katian to Early Hirnantian Interglacial Intervals

open access: yesGeological Journal, EarlyView.
In this study, we re‐examine the depositional architecture of the Erfoud limestone in Morocco. Introducing new biostratigraphic constraints from chitinozoan assemblages, we show that Katian to Hirnantian bryozoan‐pelmatozoan meadows reflect flooding events linked to a series of interglacial transgressions known to have occurred immediately prior to the

Pebble Bed Reactor Dust Production Model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The operation of pebble bed reactors, including fuel circulation, can generate graphite dust, which in turn could be a concern for internal components; and to the near field in the remote event of a break in the coolant circuits.

Miocene to Quaternary Tectonostratigraphic Evolution of the Northern Section of the Burdur‐Fethiye Shear Zone, South‐Western Türkiye

open access: yesGeological Journal, EarlyView.
New zircon ages reveal that lacustrine sedimentation initiated in the Late Miocene (Messinian), revising earlier Pliocene age assignments. The study results support the interpretation of the northern BFSZ as a broad left‐lateral transtensional shear zone rather than a discrete sinistral fault or simple extensional graben array.

Densification behavior of ceramic tritium breeder pebble beds under vertical vibration: Effect of vibration parameters

open access: yesNuclear Materials and Energy
Packing density of the tritium breeder pebble beds are closely related to the effective density of the lithium atom in the breeding cavities. And the higher the density of lithium atoms the higher the tritium breeding ratio.

A burnup survey of Pu-Th-BeO fuels and comments on selection of fuel for pebble bed reactors. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1966
The results of a burnup survey for a BeO pebble bed reactor system studied by the Australian Atomic Energy Commission are reported. The survey was based on equilibrium model and carried out by means of the GYMEA complex of codes.

Analysis Loading Height of HTR (High Temperature Reactor) Core to Obtain Criticlity of Reactor

open access: yesInternational Journal of Science and Engineering, 2015
High temperatur reactor (HTR) attract to be studied due to it has inherent safety characteristics and capabilities to produce energy economically. Design of reactor core in this study is a blend HTR 10 in China with HTR pebble-bed.
