Fungal Pectinases

2022
Pectin is a heteropolysaccharide found in the primary cell walls of terrestrial plants. It is found along with other cell wall polymers such as cellulose and hemicelluloses. Its degradation is facilitated by about 15 different types of pectinases. Here, the focus is on the basic, applied, and production aspects of pectinases. Pectinases can be isolated

Immunolocalisation of pectinases in tomato fruit

New Zealand Journal of Crop and Horticultural Science, 1992
Abstract The distribution of pectin methyl esterase (PE) and endopolygalacturonase (PG) was studied in tomato ( Lycopersicon esculentum Mill) fruit. Antibodies were raised in rabbits to the PE2 isoform of PE and the PG2 isoform of PG.
