Scalable pedestrian simulation for virtual cities [PDF]
Most of the common approaches for the pedestrian simulation, used in the Graphics/VR community, are bottom-up. The avatars are individually simulated in the space and the overall behavior emerges from their interactions. This can lead to interesting results but it does not scale and can not be applied to populating a whole city.

AI–Guided 4D Printing of Carnivorous Plants–Inspired Microneedles for Accelerated Wound Healing
This work presents an artificial intelligence (AI)‐guided 4D‐printed microneedle platform inspired by carnivorous plants for wound healing. A thermo‐responsive shape memory polymer enables body temperature–triggered self‐coiling for autonomous wound closure.

Simulating Pedestrian Behavior with Potential Fields [PDF]
The main challenges of realistically simulating the displacement of humanoid pedestrians are twofold: they need to behave realistically and they should accomplish their tasks. Here we present a field potential formalism, based upon boundary value problems, that allows a group of synthetic actors to move negotiating space, avoiding collisions, attaining

A Scalable Perovskite Platform With Multi‐State Photoresponsivity for In‐Sensor Saliency Detection
A scalable in‐sensor computing platform (32 × 32 array) with ultra‐low variability is developed by incorporating ferroelectric copolymers into halide perovskite thin films. These devices achieve 1000 programmable photoresponsivity states and high thermal reliability.

Simulation Research on Safe Flow Rate of Bidirectional Crowds Using Bayesian-Nash Equilibrium
Current research on pedestrian flows has mainly focused on evacuation optimization during or after emergencies; however, crowd management before emergencies has received little attention. This paper examines the management of a Safe Pedestrian Flow Rate,

Anti‐Slip Material‐Based Strategies and Approaches
This review highlights the principle mechanisms of slipping at the microscale, linking contact mechanics with a friction behavior model for surface interfaces. Main strategies to develop anti‐slip properties to the surfaces are discussed alongside standardized testing approaches.
