Applications of PEDOT:PSS in Solar Cells [PDF]
Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)-poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) is increasingly being used in the field of printed and flexible electronics in the form of electrode as well as intermediate layer. PEDOT:PSS belongs to the family of intrinsically conducting polymer materials whose members can conduct electricity in spite of their organic nature ...

Vertical organic electrochemical transistors (vOECTs) are limited in speed by ion‐impermeable metal electrodes that slow ion injection. Using ion‐permeable PBFDO top electrodes allows direct vertical ion injection into BBL channels, achieving high current densities (>400 A cm−2), large on/off ratios (>106), and ultrafast switching in 28 µs. This sets a

Single‐Chromophore Homojunction Organic Solar Cells: A Path to Simplicity and Efficiency
This perspective discusses how the intrinsic optoelectronic properties of organic semiconductors, their molecular packing in the solid‐state, and internal energetic gradients within a device can enable free‐charge carrier generation in homojunction organic solar cells.

Electrically Tunable Metalens Based on PEDOT:PSS
Tunable metalenses are planar optical elements that hold immense potential in the field of integrated optics, enabling reconfigurable focusing without the bulkiness associated with traditional lenses. This study proposes an electrically tunable metalens which integrates poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)–polystyrenesulfonate (PEDOT:PSS) with a ...

Leaftronics: Bio‐Fractal Scaffolds From Leaf Venation for Low‐Waste Electronics
“Leaftronics” transforms naturally evolved leaf venation into quasi‐fractal scaffolds for sustainable electronics. Polymer‐infiltrated leaf skeletons can be used to fabricate ultra‐smooth, reflow‐ and thin‐film‐compatible decomposable substrates, while making the same lignocellulose networks conducting results in flexible transparent electrodes.
