ABL kinase‐dependent phosphorylation of SH proteins promotes their direct interaction with CRK family SH2 domains

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...

Investigating transcription factor dynamics in health and disease using FRAP

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
FRAP analysis of GFP‐tagged transcription factors reveals how molecular mobility and target engagement change in response to drug treatment. By combining live‐cell imaging, quantitative model fitting, and statistical analysis, this approach uncovers transcription factor dynamics linked to disease mechanisms, providing a powerful framework for ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Fibers Caught in the Knuckles of the Forming Wires: Experimental Measurements and Physical Origins of the Force of Peeling in the Hydroentanglement Process [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Engineered Fibers and Fabrics, 2007
In hydroentanglement process, very fine water jets with high pressure impinge on the fiberweb, which is supported by forming wires. The impact of the jets causes fiber entanglement in the fiberweb and produces an integrated fabric with desired ...

Study on the Electrochemical Delamination and Corrosion Resistance of the Loose Layer Formed by Micro-Arc Oxidation on TA2 Titanium Alloy [PDF]

open access: yesCailiao Baohu
In order to address the issue of spalling failure of the loose outer layer of conventional titanium alloy micro-arc oxidation (MAO)coatings to delaminate in corrosive environments,a controllable electrochemical-corrosion delamination process was ...

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

MINIMALLY PROCESS ON CUT PEELED CHAYOTE

open access: yesJurnal Teknologi Industri Pertanian
Chayote is a vegetable that can be processed into various kinds of dishes. If you peel chayote, it will leave a sticky sap on your hands that is not easy to remove even if you wash it repeatedly with soap. Rumah Sayur Cisarua, Bandung Barat markets cut peeled chayote products.
