PELLETING OF SEED

open access: yesProceedings of the New Zealand Grassland Association, 1949
The need for clover in pastures is becoming increasingly well recognised and has been adequately dealt with, particularly regarding hill country pastures in the two papers already presented this morning.

The atypical KRASQ22K mutation directs TGF‐β response towards partial epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in patient‐derived colorectal cancer tumoroids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
TGF‐β has a complex role in cancer, exhibiting both tumor‐suppressive and tumor‐promoting properties. Using a series of differentiated tumoroids, derived from different stages and mutational background of colorectal cancer patients, we replicate this duality of TGF‐β in vitro. Notably, the atypical but highly aggressive KRASQ22K mutation rendered early‐

Germline variants in CDKN2A wild‐type melanoma prone families

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Among melanoma‐prone families, wild‐type for CDKN2A and CDK4, some have pathogenic variants in genes not usually linked to melanoma. Furthermore, rare XP‐related variants and variants in MC1R are enriched in such families. Germline pathogenic variants in CDKN2A are well established as an underlying cause of familial malignant melanoma. While pathogenic

EFEITO DA PELETIZAÇÃO EM DIETAS CONTENDO COMPLEXO ENZIMÁTICO PARA FRANGOS DE CORTE

open access: yesCiência Animal Brasileira, 2010
This study aimed to examine if pelletization interferes inthe dietary enzymatic activity, in which an enzymatic complex (EC)produced by solid state fermentation technology was used.

Numerical simulation of the effect of pellet injection on ELMs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
We report on numerical simulation studies of the dynamical behavior of edge localized modes (ELMs) under the influence of repetitive injection of pellets. In our nonlinear 2-fluid model the ELMs are excited by introducing a particle source in the confinement region and a particle sink in the edge region.

A PELLET FEEDER FOR THE BIRDS [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Experimental Analysis of Behavior, 1979
An alternative means of delivering food to pigeons in operant conditioning research is described. The feeder allows greater control of the amount of food delivered and reduces the amount of time necessary for the pigeon to collect the food. It is possible to extend the length of experimental sessions due to the reduction of food intake.

Escape from TGF‐β‐induced senescence promotes aggressive hallmarks in epithelial hepatocellular carcinoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Chronic TGF‐β exposure drives epithelial HCC cells from a senescent state to a TGF‐β resistant mesenchymal phenotype. This transition is characterized by the loss of Smad3‐mediated signaling, escape from senescence, enhanced invasiveness and metastatic potential, and upregulation of key resistance modulators such as MARK1 and GRM8, ultimately promoting

A refinement of Pellet’s theorem [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the American Mathematical Society, 1948
Presented to the Society, September 3, 1947; received by the editors August 22, 1947. 1 S. Lipka, Monatshefte fur Mathematik und Physik vol. 50 (1944) pp. 209-221. 2 A. Pellet, Bull. Sci. Math. vol. 5 (1881) pp. 393-395. The converse to this theorem was discussed by J. L. Walsh, Ann. of Math. vol. 26 (1924-1925) pp. 59-64 and A. Ostrowski, Bull.

ShcD adaptor protein drives invasion of triple negative breast cancer cells by aberrant activation of EGFR signaling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identified adaptor protein ShcD as upregulated in triple‐negative breast cancer and found its expression to be correlated with reduced patient survival and increased invasion in cell models. Using a proteomic screen, we identified novel ShcD binding partners involved in EGFR signaling pathways.

Feed and renewable sources of energy [PDF]

open access: yesJournal on Processing and Energy in Agriculture, 2014
In order to produce significant amounts of pellets of maize plants, it is necessary to completely industrialise pellet production (biofuel, feed). ZP hybrids evenly mature, i.e.
