The Development and Performance of a Machine Learning Based Mobile Platform for Visually Determining the Etiology of Penile Pathology [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Machine-learning algorithms can facilitate low-cost, user-guided visual diagnostic platforms for addressing disparities in access to sexual health services. We developed a clinical image dataset using original and augmented images for five penile diseases: herpes eruption, syphilitic chancres, penile candidiasis, penile cancer, and genital warts.

Mitochondria‐Catalyzed Activation of Anticancer Prodrugs

open access: yesChemCatChem, EarlyView.
Prodrug C is a water soluble, monomeric compound accumulating in mitochondria of cancer cells, where it is activated in the reaction with mitochondrial H2O2. The activation leads to the release of camptothecin that causes cell cycle arrest in G2 phase and cancer cell death.

Flexible optoelectronic neural transistors with broadband spectrum sensing and instant electrical processing for multimodal neuromorphic computing

open access: yesSmartMat, Volume 4, Issue 2, April 2023., 2023
Integration of multimode signal (e.g., optical and electrical) sensing and processing functions into a single neuromorphic device has become an important trend. Here, a flexible optoelectronic neural transistor with the channel region consisting of a one‐step spin‐coated tri‐blend film composed of 2,7dioctyl[1]benzothieno[3,2‐b][1]benzothiophene (C8 ...

Chirality in Transition Metal Dichalcogenide Nanostructures

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Accepted Article.
The fascinating properties introduced by the breaking of the mirror symmetry have recently motivated a rising interest in chirality in nanomaterials. In particular, transition metal dichalcogenides are a wide group of technologically relevant two‐dimensional layered materials where recent efforts in the introduction of chirality have shown promising ...

Performance of a large language model-Artificial Intelligence based chatbot for counseling patients with sexually transmitted infections and genital diseases [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Introduction: Global burden of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) is rising out of proportion to specialists. Current chatbots like ChatGPT are not tailored for handling STI-related concerns out of the box. We developed Otiz, an Artificial Intelligence-based (AI-based) chatbot platform designed specifically for STI detection and counseling, and ...
