This study investigates a schematic overview of the mechanistic pathways. The relationship between myopia and DR has long been of clinical interest. In diabetic mice, Nna1 expression is downregulated, whereas in diabetic mice with FDM, Nna1 expression is upregulated–particularly in Müller cells–accompanied by decreased vascular endothelial growth ...

Impulsivity is a symptom across multiple psychiatric disorders, yet its neural basis remains elusive. This study shows that the NMDAR antagonist MK‐801 elevates dopamine release and disrupts neuronal selectivity in the nucleus accumbens, leading to impulsive behavior.

The effect of partial portacaval transposition on the canine liver [PDF]
The influence of nonhepatic splanchnic venous blood on dog liver morphology and biochemical content was investigated by performing partial portacaval transposition, anastomosing the supra-adrenal inferior vena cava to either the right or left branch of ...

Morphine activates the excitatory cingulate cortex–intermediate rostrocaudal division of zona incerta (Cg‐ZIm) pathway to drive hyperlocomotion in mice. Inhibiting the Cg‐ZIm pathway attenuates both acute and chronic morphine‐induced hyperlocomotion, while its activation mimics morphine's motor effects.

A Simple In Vivo Atrial Fibrillation Model of Rat Induced by Transesophageal Atrial Burst Pacing
A simple in vivo closed-chest atrial fibrillation (Af) model of rats was developed. Af was reproducibly induced by transesophageal atrial burst pacing for 30 s in each of the pentobarbital-anesthetized rats, whereas the cardiohemodynamic condition as ...

Pathological retinal/choroidal neovascularization drives vision loss in DR and AMD. Current anti‐VEGF injections, while effective, require invasive, frequent administration. Pene/LQ015, is developed a novel topical anti‐VEGFA nanobody formulation achieving therapeutic intraocular levels through penetratin analog‐enhanced delivery.

Bisphenol B Exposure Induces Miscarriage by Suppressing Migration/Invasion and Migrasome Formation
BPB (Bisphenol B) exposure up‐regulates ER (estrogen receptor) levels, enhances its interactions with the lnc‐HZ04 promoter region, and thus promotes ER‐mediated lnc‐HZ04 transcription. Subsequently, lnc‐HZ04 suppresses TCF4 (transcription factor 4)‐mediated PKCA (protein kinase C alpha) transcription and subsequently suppresses migration/invasion and ...

Hemodiafiltration in Pentobarbital Poisoning
We report the use of continuous venovenous hemodiafiltration (CVVHD) in a case of massive intentional ingestion of pentobarbital associated with severe coma and hypotension. Despite a poor hemodynamic state, toxic epuration (15% of drug ingested) was obtained. However, death occurred 7 hr after the end of treatment.

Antidepressant-like effects induced by galanin 2/neuropeptide Y Y1 heterodimers in the dentate gyrus of the hippocampus [PDF]
Previously, we have described the Galanin (GAL) and Neuropeptide Y Y1 (NPYY1) interactions through GAL receptor 2 and NPYY1 receptor 1 (GALR2/NPYY1R) heterodimers in the Dentate Gyrus (DG) of the Hippocampus, using autoradiographic, in situ ...

In temporal lobe epilepsy, hippocampal APOE is markedly upregulated predominantly in microglia. APOE overexpression in microglia drives TLR4 and cGAS/STING‐dependent neuroinflammation, engages bidirectional crosstalk with neurons and astrocytes, increases neuronal excitability, and perturbs hippocampal lipid metabolism. These findings suggest that APOE‐
