Multicargo Porous Cochlear Electrode Coating for Antifibrosis After Cochlear Implantation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a novel porous drug‐loading coating for cochlear electrodes, utilizing MA‐PDMS infused with GelMA hydrogel containing dexamethasone and MXene nanoparticles. The coating enhances biocompatibility, enables sustained drug release, reduces fibrosis, and preserves residual hearing post‐CI.

KLF1 Promotes Cardiomyocyte Proliferation and Heart Regeneration Through Regulation of Wnt/β‐Catenin Signaling Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In KLF1‐on (neonatal and Klf1 overexpression hearts) models, KLF1 regulates Wnt/β‐catenin signaling pathway and the expression of cell proliferation‐related genes via transcriptional and epigenetic mechanisms, which induces cardiomyocyte proliferation and cardiac regeneration in mice after myocardial infarction.

In vitro identification and in silico utilization of interspecies sequence similarities using GeneChip(® )technology [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
BACKGROUND: Genomic approaches in large animal models (canine, ovine etc) are challenging due to insufficient genomic information for these species and the lack of availability of corresponding microarray platforms. To address this problem, we speculated

Listerin Alleviates Alzheimer's Disease through IRE1‐mediated Decay of TLR4 mRNA

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Alzheimer's disease (AD) progression is influenced by microglia‐mediated neuroinflammation. Here, it is demonstrated that Listerin suppresses neuroinflammatory signaling and cognitive impairment in AD models by triggering IRE1α‐mediated TLR4 mRNA decay. Adenoviral Listerin delivery reduces amyloid‐β pathology, positioning it as a new therapeutic target.

Yokukansan Enhances Pentobarbital-Induced Sleep in Socially Isolated Mice: Possible Involvement of GABAA – Benzodiazepine Receptor Complex

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacological Sciences, 2011
.: In the present study, we investigated the effect of the Kampo medicine Yokukansan (YKS) on pentobarbital-induced sleep in group-housed and socially isolated mice. Socially isolated mice showed shorter sleeping time than the group-housed mice. YKS (300

MeCP2 Lactylation Protects against Ischemic Brain Injury by Transcriptionally Regulating Neuronal Apoptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
MeCP2 lactylation protects against ischemic stroke by reducing brain infarct volume and improving neurological outcomes. Lactylation at K210/K249 exerts neuroprotective effects by repressing the transcription of apoptosis‐associated genes, including Pdcd4 and Pla2g6. HDAC3 and p300 serve as key regulatory enzymes for MeCP2 lactylation following stroke.

Changes in pentobarbital induced sleeping-time in mice infected with Schistosoma mansoni and immunosuppressed Alterações no tempo de anestesia pelo pentobarbital sódico em camundongos infectados pelo Schistosoma mansoni e imunossuprimidos

open access: yesRevista do Instituto de Medicina Tropical de São Paulo, 1995
To evaluate whether the intensity of the hepatic granulomatous response induced by S. mansoni eggs plays a role in drug metabolism, mice were infected with 40 cercariae and tested to assess the sodic pentobarbital induced sleeping-time.
