From nature to nanoscale: advances, challenges, and preclinical translation of nanofiber drug delivery systems containing plant‐derived active ingredients

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, EarlyView.
Abstract Since the early 1960s, nanotechnology has been a critical area of science, allowing for the development of sophisticated nanomaterials. Nanofibers, one of the most widely used nanotechnological drug delivery systems, have emerged as a highly versatile platform within modern pharmaceutical sciences.

Taste Dysfunction and Bell's Palsy: A Scoping Review

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, EarlyView.
Taste dysfunction is a well‐recognized but inconsistently reported symptom in Bell's palsy. This scoping review found that taste dysfunction is prevalent in these patients, often precedes facial weakness, and commonly improves within 6 months. Standardized, longitudinal studies employing validated psychophysical measures are needed to clarify the ...

Circulating Omega‐3 Fatty Acids and Cardiometabolic Outcomes: A Systematic Review of Publications From UK Biobank

open access: yesLipids, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Studies have shown that omega‐3 fatty acids may protect against cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) and related metabolic conditions. UK Biobank is a large cohort study that includes data on plasma omega‐3 fatty acids at study entry and health outcomes during the follow‐up period.

Atmospheric Corrosion Protection of LPBF Manufactured AlSi10Mg by Combining SiOx‐CVD and PDMS Grafting

open access: yesMaterials and Corrosion, EarlyView.
Hybrid SiOₓ‐CVD/PDMS ultrathin films mitigate atmospheric corrosion of additively manufactured AlSi10Mg. Electrochemical analyses show reduced corrosion currents, increased charge‐transfer resistance, and suppressed pitting due to diminished cathodic activity and limited oxygen and ion transport under NaCl exposure.
