Emotional, Relational, and Identity Shifts in Aphasia Caregiving: An Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis of Care Partner Experiences

open access: yesInternational Journal of Language &Communication Disorders, Volume 61, Issue 4, July/August 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Care partners of people with aphasia, an acquired language disorder affecting multiple linguistic modalities, face significant life changes when assuming caregiving responsibilities. These changes affect both physical and psychological well‐being, yet the nuanced experiences of care partners remain underexplored. Aims Our aim was to

Seed‐Associated Trichoderma and Their Potential as Biocontrol Agents Against Plant Diseases

open access: yesEnvironmental Microbiology, Volume 28, Issue 7, July 2026.
Trichoderma is a genus of beneficial fungi widely used in agriculture. Over 2 years of routine seed health analyses, we investigated the diversity of seed‐borne Trichoderma strains associated with seeds from 32 cultivated plant species. We assessed their mycoparasitic activity and their potential for disease suppression and plant growth promotion ...

A Practical Framework for GT‐Seq Panel Optimization

open access: yesMolecular Ecology Resources, Volume 26, Issue 5, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Genotyping‐in‐thousands by sequencing (GT‐seq) panels are powerful tools in ecological, evolutionary and conservation genomics, yet the optimization process critical for robust and reproducible genotyping remains poorly formalized. Here, we present an iterative workflow for GT‐seq panel optimization that emphasizes systematic refinement ...

Cucumber green mottle mosaic virus: A persistent seed‐borne threat to cucurbits

open access: yesAnnals of Applied Biology, Volume 189, Issue 1, July 2026.
Cucumber green mottle mosaic virus (CGMMV) is a highly stable, seed‐borne tobamovirus that threatens global cucurbit production. Its efficient mechanical and seed transmission, long‐term environmental persistence, and the spread of Clade II CGMMV isolates drive its rapid dissemination and cause severe yield losses.

Occupational Contact Urticaria, Protein Contact Dermatitis and Concomitant Airway Diseases in the Finnish Register of Occupational Diseases in 2005–2020: Main Causes and Occupations at Risk

open access: yesContact Dermatitis, Volume 95, Issue 1, Page 74-85, July 2026.
This Finnish registry study shows that concomitant occupational asthma and rhinitis are common in patients with occupational contact urticaria or protein contact dermatitis, often sharing the same exposure. When evaluating occupational immediate allergy, both skin and airway symptoms should be considered.
