Smart SPR Biosensors: Machine Learning‐Augmented Dual‐Channel PCF Technology
The biosensor shows outstanding performance over a wide refractive index range (1.33–1.45), with wavelength sensitivity of 32 000 nm/RIU, amplitude sensitivity of 2338 RIU−1, and spectral resolution of 3.13 × 10−6 RIU. We present a modern dual‐channel surface plasmon resonance (SPR) biosensor that combines advanced photonic crystal fiber (PCF) design ...

Atomistic Understanding of 2D Monatomic Phase‐Change Material for Non‐Volatile Optical Applications
Antimony is a promising monatomic phase‐change material. Scaling down the film thickness is necessary to prolong the amorphous‐state lifetime, but it alters the optical properties. The combined computational and experimental study shows that, as thickness decreases, the extinction coefficient and optical contrast are reduced in the near‐infrared ...

Thermoplasmonic Response of Non‐Noble Metal Core–Shell Nanostructures for Solar Energy Harvesting
The plasmonic properties of Non‐Noble metal@Fe2O3 shell under visible and near‐infrared spectrum were calculated to quantitatively assess the photothermal conversion capability. The plasmonic response intensity and shell thickness relationship were analysed, and the maximum photothermal conversion and plasmonic intensity were summarized.

Computational Modeling of Geoelectrical Soundings using PML-FDTD
The Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD) method was applied in order to analyze the transient responses of geoelectrical soundings that use circular electric dipole (CED) as source over stratified formations.

Reinforcement Learning Enabled Nanophotonic Devices
A reinforcement learning algorithm is used to design photonic devices. The method creates metagratings and grating couplers that efficiently control both the direction and polarization of light. Further, a reinforcement learning approach is used to design in‐plane integrated photonic devices. This approach paves the way for advanced photonic components

When a uniform field interacts with a complex medium, it becomes scattered into a nonuniform distribution. A mode‐integration metamaterial employs its intrinsic controlled disorder to coherently reorganize and integrate the scattered field components into a tailored modal output, establishing a new paradigm for programmable modal coupling and versatile

The cytokinesis regulator RacGAP1 is a Rac1‐specific GAP on membranes
Abstract Rho family small GTPases are essential for cytokinesis completion. RacGAP1, a dimeric multidomain protein with a lipid‐binding C1 domain and a GTPase‐activating protein (GAP) domain, is a major regulator in this process. However, despite many cellular and biochemical studies, whether RhoA or Rac1 is the actual substrate inactivated by RacGAP1 ...
