In this article, the problem of asymptotic attenuation and rejection is investigated for a class of cascade systems with general periodic disturbances via a non-linear disturbance observer and H ∞ control. First, a novel disturbance observer is developed

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

The borehole heat exchanger (BHE) is a key component using shallow geothermal energy in ground source heat pump systems (GSHPS), and reasonable pipe spacing design has a great impact on the heat transfer performance and economy of the GSHPs.

Detection of periodic disturbances in LOFAR calibration solutions
The Earth’s ionosphere is a highly variable medium on a wide range of spatio-temporal scales. The responsiveness of plasma to the geomagnetic field and its changes gives rise to anisotropy, which may introduce wave-like characteristics while scanning the ionosphere with a line-of-sight towards a radio source.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Singular modes in Rayleigh instability of three-dimensional streamwise-vortex flows [PDF]
The upper-branch neutral modes of inviscid instability in a boundary-layer flow with significant longitudinal vortices present are shown to possess typically a logarithmically singular, non-inflectional, critical layer.

State-dependent periodic adaptive disturbance compensation
The state-dependent nonlinear external disturbance compensation problem is considered. No prior information about the disturbance is assumed except the periodicity of the disturbance with respect to a state variable, which is termed a 'state-dependent periodic disturbance.' The key idea of the proposed new adaptive compensation method is to make use of

Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

Cooperation is fundamental to the survival of many bacterial species. Previous studies have shown that spatial structure can both promote and suppress cooperation.
