Higher order branching of periodic orbits from polynomial isochrones

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 1999
We discuss the higher order local bifurcations of limit cycles from polynomial isochrones (linearizable centers) when the linearizing transformation is explicitly known and yields a polynomial perturbation one-form.

Monitoring of circulating tumor DNA allows early detection of disease relapse in patients with operable breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Monitoring circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in patients with operable breast cancer can reveal disease relapse earlier than radiology in a subset of patients. The failure to detect ctDNA in some patients with recurrent disease suggests that ctDNA could serve as a supplement to other monitoring approaches.

Developing evidence‐based, cost‐effective P4 cancer medicine for driving innovation in prevention, therapeutics, patient care and reducing healthcare inequalities

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The cancer problem is increasing globally with projections up to the year 2050 showing unfavourable outcomes in terms of incidence and cancer‐related deaths. The main challenges are prevention, improved therapeutics resulting in increased cure rates and enhanced health‐related quality of life.

ON SECOND-ORDER ALMOST-PERIODIC ELLIPTIC OPERATORS

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, 2001
The paper considers second-order, strongly elliptic, operators H with complex almost-periodic coefficients in divergence form on Rd. First, it is proved that the corresponding heat kernel is Hölder continuous and Gaussian bounds are derived with the correct small and large time asymptotic behaviour on the kernel and its Hölder derivatives. Secondly,

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

On periodic solutions of fractional-order differential systems with a fixed length of sliding memory

open access: yesJournal of Innovative Applied Mathematics and Computational Sciences, 2021
The fractional-order derivative of a non-constant periodic function is not periodic with the same period. Consequently, any time-invariant fractional-order systems do not have a non-constant periodic solution.

Combining antibody conjugates with cytotoxic and immune‐stimulating payloads maximizes anti‐cancer activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Methods to improve antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) treatment durability in cancer therapy are needed. We utilized ADCs and immune‐stimulating antibody conjugates (ISACs), which are made from two non‐competitive antibodies, to enhance the entry of toxic payloads into cancer cells and deliver immunostimulatory agents into immune cells.
