Phase II of the LAMOST-Kepler/K2 Survey. II. Time Domain of Medium-resolution Spectroscopic Observations from 2018 to 2023

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series
The LAMOST-Kepler/K2 Medium-Resolution Spectroscopic Survey (LK-MRS) conducted time-domain (TD) medium-resolution spectroscopic observations of 20 LAMOST plates in the Kepler and K2 fields from 2018 to 2023, a phase designated as LK-MRS-I.

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Chaotic pulsations in variable stars with harmonic mode coupling

open access: yes, 1991
Some variable stars show multi-periodic behaviour with, among others, peaks in their power spectra at harmonically spaced frequencies with ratios 1:2:4. Such modes are nonlinearly coupled by two second-harmonic interactions and their amplitude equations ...

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Rotation Periods of Candidate Single Late-M Dwarfs in TESS

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal
Recent studies suggest that the angular momentum evolution of late-M and brown dwarfs differs from the well-known spin-down evolution of hotter stars. Characterizing the distribution of rotation periods of these objects in the solar neighborhood can help

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Periodic Variable Stars Across the Southern Sky

open access: yes, 2015
We continue our search for periodic variables within the ~30,000 square degrees of the sky covered by the Catalina Surveys. Here we analyze six years of optical photometry taken by the Siding Spring Survey (SSS), which is sensitive to sources in the ...

Variable stars in the globular cluster M 13

open access: yes, 2003
Results of a search for variable stars in the central region of the globular cluster M 13 are presented. Prior to this study, 36 variable and suspected variable stars were known in this cluster (Osborn [CITE]; Clement et al. [CITE]).

Young Stellar Objects in the Carina Nebula: Near-infrared Variability and Spectroscopy

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal
We present a catalog of 652 young stellar objects (YSOs) in the Carina star-forming region. The catalog was constructed by combining near-infrared K _S -band variability from the VISTA Variables in the Vía Láctea eXtended survey and medium-resolution H ...

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.
