Abstract A 3‐year‐old, male, entire, German wirehaired pointer dog was presented with a 2‐year history of paroxysmal episodes of collapse associated with reduced levels of consciousness. A magnetic resonance imaging study identified a single, ill‐defined, non‐contrast‐enhancing, intra‐axial mass lesion involving the hypothalamus.

Abstract A 6‐year‐old, neutered, male German shepherd dog presented to the Emergency and Critical Care Service at the Ohio State University Veterinary Medical Center with bilateral pleural effusion. Thoracic computed tomography, among other diagnostics, failed to identify the cause of the pleural effusion.

ABSTRACT An 8‐year‐old, 1.06 kg, male castrated, domestic ferret (Mustela putorius furo), was presented with an antifreeze (ethylene glycol) poisoning. The relevant medical history shows a T‐cell lymphoma diagnosed 8 months ago and was being treated with prednisolone.
