The spectrum of peripheral T-cell lymphomas
Current Opinion in Hematology, 2009This review summarizes recent progress that has advanced our understanding of the pathobiology and prognosis of peripheral T-cell lymphomas including the changes introduced to the updated World Health Organization classification of lymphoid neoplasms. The International Peripheral T-Cell Lymphoma Project was a large collaborative project, highlighting ...

Peripheral T-Cell Lymphoma of the Scrotum
Acta Haematologica, 1994Primary lymphoma of the scrotum is rare. We report a case of primary immunoblastic lymphoma of the scrotum in a homosexual who was negative for antibodies to human immunodeficiency virus. Immunoperoxidase stains of paraffin-embedded tissue were consistent with a T-cell phenotype.

Romidepsin for peripheral T-cell lymphoma
Expert Review of Hematology, 2013Peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) is comprised of a rare heterogeneous group of diseases with diverse clinical presentations; however outcomes associated with conventional chemotherapy are generally poor in the majority of patients. Newer approaches, which include dose-intensification and agents with novel mechanisms of action, are needed to improve ...

Peripheral T-cell lymphomas (PTCLs) are a biologically diverse and uncommon group of diseases. Compared to their B-cell counterparts, PTCLs remain largely unexplored and the optimal treatment ill-defined due to disease rarity and biological heterogeneity. With the notable exception of ALK-pos anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL), the prognosis of most

Peripheral T Cell Lymphoma: an Overview
Leukemia & Lymphoma, 1990Peripheral T cell lymphoma (PTCL) is a term that encompasses a wide range of histological subtypes of Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma which arise from mature or post-thymic T lymphocytes. These tumours account for 10-20% of all cases of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in the Western World.

Non-anaplastic peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) is a heterogenous group of disorders comprising about 1% of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) in children and adolescents. Most common subtypes are peripheral T-cell lymphoma not otherwise specified (PTCL-NOS) followed by NK−/T-cell lymphoma (NKTCL), hepatosplenic T-cell lymphoma (HSTCL), and subcutaneous ...

Intensive chemotherapy for peripheral T‐cell lymphomas
Hematological Oncology, 1992AbstractForty‐two patients with previously untreated peripheral T‐cell lymphomas (PTCL) were treated with an intensive chemotherapy protocol. Either the BACOP or the m‐BACOD regimen was used for induction. Patients achieving complete clinical remission after three courses were given intensive consolidation and maintenance chemotherapy similar to the ...

Update: Peripheral T-Cell Lymphomas
Current Hematologic Malignancy Reports, 2011Peripheral T-cell lymphomas (PTCLs) are a group of biologically heterogeneous but typically aggressive diseases. Progress in understanding and developing optimal therapies for PTCLs has been hampered by disease rarity and only relatively recent recognition of the importance of the T-cell phenotype.

The prognostic factors for peripheral T‐cell lymphomas
Hematological Oncology, 1992AbstractThe peripheral T‐cell lymphomas of 50 patients were classified by histological type and tumour cell size, the latter as described by the Nebraska Group. There was no difference in the pattern of their clinical features among the various histological subtypes and their clinical outcome was similar. Cell size and other factors including sex, age,

Novel therapies in peripheral T-cell lymphomas
Current Hematologic Malignancy Reports, 2008Peripheral T-cell lymphomas (PTCLs) are a rare and heterogeneous group of disorders associated with a very poor prognosis. Historically, treatment protocols have been largely based on regimens used to treat aggressive B-cell lymphomas; unfortunately, the efficacy of these regimens has been suboptimal, with most patients experiencing relapse after ...
