Numerical simulation of permeability characteristics of saturated frozen soils based on PFM-LBM

open access: yesYantu gongcheng xuebao
Hydraulic conductivity of frozen soils macroscopically reflects the migration and phase change of liquid in soil, which is the key to the phenomenon of frost-heave.

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Permeability characteristics of coal body around sealing section of double-prevention bedding boreholes

open access: yesMeitan kexue jishu
In the sealing section of double-prevention boreholes along the coal seam, the coal mass is characterized by a significant presence of pores and fracture structures, forming seepage channels through which air from the roadway infiltrates the extraction ...

Experimental study on the permeability of crushed coal medium based on the Ergun equation

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
Accurate determination of the permeability of crushed coal medium is the basis for the study of their permeability characteristics. To investigate the permeability characteristics of this special porous medium composed of crushed coal particles, the ...

Permeability of Porous Materials Determined from the Euler Characteristic [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2012
We study the permeability of quasi two-dimensional porous structures of randomly placed overlapping monodisperse circular and elliptical grains. Measurements in microfluidic devices and lattice Boltzmann simulations demonstrate that the permeability is determined by the Euler characteristic of the conducting phase.

Microbiome−host proteostasis crosstalk—An emerging perspective on mechanisms and interventions toward healthy longevity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

Permeability characteristics of cement-gravel soil

open access: yesYantu gongcheng xuebao, 2017
The triaxial permeability tests on cement-gravel soil are conducted using the improved triaxial test apparatus. Various factors including cement mixing ratio, gravel content, degree of compaction and seepage pressure that have effects on the permeability

Microbiome‐blood–brain barrier interactions in aging — mechanisms and therapeutic potential

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Aging reshapes the gut microbiome (↓SCFA‐producing commensals; ↑pro‐inflammatory outputs), shifting circulating metabolites (↓SCFAs; ↑LPS, ↑TMAO, ↑PAA) that act at the BBB to increase nonspecific transcytosis, alter transport, and promote astrocyte reactivity, heightening brain vulnerability.

Study on the influencing factors of radial non-Darcy seepage of gas in CO2 fracturing boreholes

open access: yesMeitan xuebao
CO2 fracturing, as a key technology to improve the gas extraction efficiency of low-permeability coal seams, has a core mechanism of injecting high-pressure CO2 into coal seams to induce the generation of a fracture network within the coal body, thus ...
