Permutation invariant Gaussian matrix models

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2019
Permutation invariant Gaussian matrix models were recently developed for applications in computational linguistics. A 5-parameter family of models was solved.

On a Problem Concerning Permutation Polynomials [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 1987
If R is the ring of integers in the algebraic number field K and f is a polynomial over R, then f is said to be a permutation polynomial modulo an ideal I (p. p. mod I) of R if the mapping induced on the residue class ring R/I is bijective. Let \(S_ 1(f)\) be the set of nonzero prime ideals P such that f is a p. p. mod P but not mod \(P^ 2\), and let \(

Spatial‐Wavelength Multiplexing Error‐Controlled Photonic Analog Computing System

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel photonic integrated circuit prototype implementing the concept of general‐purpose analog computing and demonstrate its capability in radio frequency applications. The chip features a multichannel architecture and performs fully optical analog computation with frequency‐domain parallel processing. An FPGA‐based error‐correction algorithm aims to

Physical Origin of Temperature Induced Activation Energy Switching in Electrically Conductive Cement

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The temperature‐induced Arrhenius activation energy switching phenomenon of electrical conduction in electrically conductive cement originates from structural degradation within the biphasic ionic‐electronic conduction architecture and shows percolation‐governed characteristics: pore network opening dominates the low‐percolation regime with downward ...

Permutation Polynomials Modulo N

open access: yes, 2009
Based on preliminary numerical computations, we give complete results for linear and quadratic polynomials. Rivest’s result holds in the linear case while there are plenty of counterexamples in the quadratic case.

Microscale Mapping of Fiber Strain and Damage in Composite Wrinkled Laminates Using Computed Tomography Assisted Wide‐Angle X‐Ray Scattering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study combines full‐field tomography with diffraction mapping to quantify radial (ε002$\varepsilon _{002}$) and axial (ε100$\varepsilon _{100}$) lattice strain in wrinkled carbon‐fiber specimens for the first time. Radial microstrain gradients (−14.5 µεMPa$\varepsilon \mathrm{MPa}$−1) are found to signal damage‐prone zones ahead of failure, which ...

Boosting Photo‐Pyroelectric Effect via Tunable Polarization and Interfacial Defect Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reports Ba(Ti0.85Zr0.15)O3 nanocatalysts with enhanced polarization and oxygen‐vacancy‐rich interfaces for efficient NIR‐II photo‐pyroelectric therapy. Zr doping boosts the pyroelectric coefficient and accelerates polarization switching, while oxygen vacancies improve photothermal conversion and surface reactivity.

Direct Photocurrent Detection of Optical Vortex Based on the Orbital Photo Galvanic Effect: Progress, Challenge, and Perspective

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Direct orbital angular momentum (OAM) detection through the orbital photogalvanic effect offers a scalable route for integrated optoelectronics. This perspective evaluates symmetry‐driven material selection and demonstrates how electrode matrices enable the resolution of complex, mixed OAM modes.

Counting and construction of holomorphic primary fields in free CFT4 from rings of functions on Calabi-Yau orbifolds

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
Counting formulae for general primary fields in free four dimensional conformal field theories of scalars, vectors and matrices are derived. These are specialised to count primaries which obey extremality conditions defined in terms of the dimensions and
