Selected reactive oxygen species and antioxidant enzymes in common bean after Pseudomonas syringae pv. phaseolicola and Botrytis cinerea infection [PDF]
Phaseolus vulgaris cv. Korona plants were inoculated with the bacteria Pseudomonas syringae pv. phaseolicola (Psp), necrotrophic fungus Botrytis cinerea (Bc) or with both pathogens sequentially.

MGST1, a GSH transferase/peroxidase essential for development and hematopoietic stem cell differentiation. [PDF]
We show for the first time that, in contrast to other glutathione transferases and peroxidases, deletion of microsomal glutathione transferase 1 (MGST1) in mice is embryonic lethal.

Removal of Phenol from Synthetic and Industrial Wastewater by Potato Pulp Peroxidases
Plant peroxidases have strong potential utility for decontamination of phenol-polluted wastewater. However, large-scale use of these enzymes for phenol depollution requires a source of cheap, abundant, and easily accessible peroxidase-containing material.

Most MmpLs transport lipids and glycolipids of the complex mycomembrane of mycobacteria. This study shows that MmpL10 from Mycobacterium smegmatis, the transporter of the trehalose polyphosphate precursor, harbors a coiled‐coil‐like extension. Biochemical and electron microscopy studies demonstrate that the coiled‐coil enables MmpL10 to trimerize.

Combined extracellular matrix cross-linking activity of the peroxidase MLT-7 and the dual oxidase BLI-3 is critical for post-embryonic viability in Caenorhabditis elegans [PDF]
The nematode cuticle is a protective collagenous extracellular matrix that is modified, cross-linked, and processed by a number of key enzymes. This Ecdysozoan-specific structure is synthesized repeatedly and allows growth and development in a linked ...

Effects of mixed saline and alkaline stress on the morphology and anatomy of Pisum sativum L.: The role of peroxidase and ascorbate oxidase in growth regulation [PDF]
The effects of hyperalkaline, thermo-mineral water from Slatina on the morphology and anatomy of pea plants (Pisum sativum L.), were examined after eleven days of treatment with a mixture of tap water and Slatina water in 3:1 (T1) and 1:1 ratios (T2).

ROS regulation of polar growth in plant cells [PDF]
Root hair cells and pollen tubes, like fungal hyphae, possess a typical tip or polar cell expansion with growth limited to the apical dome. Cell expansion needs to be carefully regulated to produce a correct shape and size. Polar cell growth is sustained
