Intersection Between Local Anesthetics and Cancer Biology: What Now? Where Are We Going?

Local anesthetics (LAs), widely used in anesthesia, may also play a role in cancer treatment by inhibiting tumor growth, reducing metastasis, and enhancing immune responses. They modulate key pathways like AKT/mTOR and RAS/ERK while affecting angiogenesis and tumor innervation and the immune response.

Crystal structure of μ-peroxido-κ4O1,O2:O1′,O2′-bis[(nitrato-κO)(2,2′:6′,2′′-terpyridine-κ3N,N′,N′′)dioxidouranium(VI)]

In the title dimeric complex, [{UO2(NO3)(C15H11N3)}2O2], a peroxide ion bridges the two uranyl(VI) [O=U=O]2+ ions. The O—O bond length of the peroxide is 1.485 (6) Å and the mid-point of this bond is located at the inversion centre of the dimer.

Effect of Water Aging on the Mechanical Properties of Hybrid Carbon/Aramid Reinforced Thermoplastic Composites

This study investigates the mechanical properties of Carbon/Aramid intraply hybrid fiber‐reinforced Elium composites under 6 months of water aging. After aging, flexural strength decreases by 25.89%, tensile strength by 4.40%, and fracture toughness by 21.56%.
