Rearrangements of organic peroxides and related processes

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2016
This review is the first to collate and summarize main data on named and unnamed rearrangement reactions of peroxides. It should be noted, that in the chemistry of peroxides two types of processes are considered under the term rearrangements.

Influence of the Invasive Species Ailanthus altissima (Tree of Heaven) on Yield Performance and Olive Oil Quality Parameters of Young Olive Trees cv. Koroneiki Under Two Distinct Irrigation Regimes

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Ailanthus altissima (AA) is an invasive tree species rapidly spreading worldwide, colonizing both urban and agricultural or forestry environments. This three-year study aimed to assess its effects on the growth and yield traits of the Koroneiki olive ...

Cyclic peroxides and related initiating systems for radical polymerization of methyl methacrylate [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Cyclic peroxides as initiators for the radical polymerization of methyl methacrylate were proposed. The initial rates, initiation rates, and effective activation energies of polymerization initiated by cyclic peroxides and cyclic peroxide-1-pyridyl-2 ...

The decomposition of alkyl peroxides: dipropyl peroxide, ethyl hydrogen peroxide and propyl hydrogen peroxide [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Royal Society of London. Series A. Mathematical and Physical Sciences, 1939
In a previous paper (Harris and Egerton 1938) the results of an investigation of the decomposition of diethyl peroxide have been published. The present communication deals with the related compounds ( a ) dipropyl peroxide, which closely resembles the diethyl compound as it decomposes unimolecularly, ( b

Fullerene peroxides

open access: yesComptes Rendus. Chimie, 2006
t -Butylperoxy radical adds to fullerenes to form a number of stable fullerene mixed peroxides. The reaction follows the stepwise radical addition mechanism, and usually gives a mixture of products with different numbers of t ...

Dimethylenediol peroxide (diformal peroxide hydrate) [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Royal Society of London. Series A, Containing Papers of a Mathematical and Physical Character, 1914
The conditions of the co-existence of hydrogen dioxide and formaldehyde, and the nature of their interaction, are of special interest in connection with the theories which have been advanced to account for the photosynthesis of carbohydrates in plants.

Oxidation of unvulcanized, unstabilized polychloroprene: A kinetic study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Thermal oxidation in air at atmospheric pressure, in the 80-140 °C temperature range and in oxygen at 100 °C in the 0.02-3 MPa pressure range, of unvulcanized, unstabilized, unfilled polychloroprene (CR) has been characterized using FTIR and chlorine ...

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.
