Proteome analysis of Persian sturgeon (Acipenser persicus) ova

Animal Reproduction Science, 2008
The Persian sturgeon ova are a key material both for inevitable artificial propagation and for caviar production. In this study, the proteome profile of Persian sturgeon ova was analyzed using 2-DE and MALDI-TOF/TOF in order to determine its protein composition.

Effect of freezing rate for cryopreservation of Persian sturgeon (Acipenser persicus) spermatozoa

Theriogenology, 2016
This study examined the effect of freezing rate (-10 °C, -15 °C, -20 °C, -30 °C, and -40 °C/min) on motility parameters, rates of fertilization and hatching, ATP content, and indices of oxidative stress including thiobarbituric acid reactive substances and carbonyl derivatives of proteins in Persian sturgeon (Acipenser persicus) sperm.

Metallothionein as Potential Biomarker of Cadmium Exposure in Persian Sturgeon (Acipenser persicus)

Biological Trace Element Research, 2010
Metallothionein (MT) concentration in gills, liver, and kidney tissues of Persian sturgeon (Acipenser persicus) were determined following exposure to sublethal levels of waterborne cadmium (Cd) (50, 400, and 1,000 μg l(-1)) after 1, 2, 4, and 14 days.

Persian sturgeon growth hormone elaboration and purification

2015
In this study Escherichia coli DE3 containing expression vector (pET21a) with cloned Persian sturgeon growth hormone (psGH) gene was grown in 10 mL LB broth on a 150 rpm shaker, at the temperature of 37 °C. At the late log phase (determined by OD standard curve) 100 µL isopropyl β-D-1-thiogalactopyranoside (IPTG) was added for induction of GH synthesis.

Fertilizing ability of cryopreserved spermatozoa in the Persian sturgeon (Acipenser persicus) and stellate sturgeon (A. stellatus)

2009
Motility of spermatozoa was studied on 12 and 7 specimens of Acipenser persicus and A. stellatus, respectively. The density measured to be 2.22±0.65x109ml-1 in A. persicus and 2.21±0.55x109ml-1 in A. stellatus. Semen samples were diluted with two extenders containing tris 118mM, sucrose 23.4mM, pH=8, egg yolk (20%), dimethyl sulfoxide (15%) and ...
