PGIS, a Software for Paleogeographic Reconstruction in ArcGIS
2003Geologists need to restore the past locations of interested features. Reconstruction of geological features to their past locations involves moving a feature around the Earth surface. Current GIS software packages do not have the function to restore the past locations of geological features, but do have the potential to realize it.

Hungary’s most popular meat product is the ‘kolbasz’ (sausage). A traditional brand and PGI, ‘Gyulai’ represents about 15% of the 33.8 thousand tons over the counter market of dry sausages. The production of Gyulai pork sausage may take place within the administrative boundaries of two south-eastern towns: Gyula and Bekescsaba.
