Effect of Spatial Modulated Light on Position of Self-Calibration Point
In optical sensing, the differentiation between absorption and scattering poses a challenge when dealing with a physiological medium. We have shown that for extracting absorption-based parameters it is optimal to measure at the iso-path length (IPL ...

Analysis of a Flexible Dual-Channel Octagonal Coil System for UHF MRI
Nowadays, MRI is focused on using ultra-high static magnetic fields (>7 T) to increase the signal-to-noise ratio. The use of high fields, on the other hand, requires novel technical solutions as well as more stringent design criteria for specific ...

Wormholes supported by a phantom energy [PDF]
We extend the notion of phantom energy--which is generally accepted for homogeneously distributed matter with $w<-1$ in the universe--on inhomogeneous spherically symmetric spacetime configurations. A spherically symmetric distribution of phantom energy is shown to be able to support the existence of static wormholes.

Can universe exit from phantom inflation due to gravitational back reaction? [PDF]
The effects of the gravitational back reaction of cosmological perturbations are investigated in a phantom inflation model. The effective energy-momentum tensor of the gravitational back reaction of cosmological perturbations whose wavelengths are larger than the Hubble radius is calculated.

Accurate medical Augmented Reality (AR) rendering requires two calibrations, a camera intrinsic matrix estimation and a hand-eye transformation. We present a unified, practical, marker-less, real-time system to estimate both these transformations during ...

Phantom Black Holes and Sigma Models [PDF]
We construct static multicenter solutions of phantom Einstein-Maxwell-dilaton theory from null geodesics of the target space, leading to regular black holes without spatial symmetry for certain discrete values of the dilaton coupling constant. We also discuss the three-dimensional gravitating sigma models obtained by reduction of phantom Einstein ...

Experimental evidence on testing a non-ultrasonic-based probe for a new approach in transluminal elastography was presented. The proposed modality generated shear waves by inducing oscillatory rotation on the lumen wall. Detection of the propagated waves
