Anti‐PD‐1 Nanobody‐Armored MSLN CAR‐T Therapy for Malignant Mesothelioma: Preclinical and Clinical Studies

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel therapy using engineered immune cells (NAC‐T cells) showed promise for refractory malignant mesothelioma. Based on the encouraging preclinical data, the first‐in‐human trial is initiated, demonstrating tolerable safety and promising anti‐tumor activity (ORR 63.6%, DCR 100%, including one CR).

Reduced oxycodone brain delivery in rats due to lipopolysaccharide-induced inflammation: microdialysis insights into brain disposition and sex-specific pharmacokinetics

open access: yesFluids and Barriers of the CNS
Background Oxycodone, a widely used opioid analgesic, has an unbound brain-to-plasma concentration ratio (Kp,uu) greater than unity, indicating active uptake across brain barriers associated with the putative proton-coupled organic cation (H+/OC ...

Procyanidin B3 and Its Derivatives Alleviate Neuronal Injury by Targeting G3BP1 for Ischemic Stroke Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ischemic stroke is a serious disease with high rates of mortality and disability, but there is a lack of novel therapeutic targets and agents for it. Now it is shown that Ras GTPase‐activating protein SH3 domain‐binding protein 1 (G3BP1) has the potential to serve as a therapeutic target for ischemic stroke.

Active CNS delivery of oxycodone in healthy and endotoxemic pigs

open access: yesFluids and Barriers of the CNS
Background The primary objective of this study was to advance our understanding of active drug uptake at brain barriers in higher species than rodents, by examining oxycodone brain concentrations in pigs.

EM2, a Natural Product MST1/2 Kinase Activator, Suppresses Non‐Small Cell Lung Cancer via Hippo Pathway Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
EM2 directly binds to and activates MST1/2, enhancing their kinase activity and sequentially promoting LATS phosphorylation, which increases YAP phosphorylation. Consequently, YAP nuclear translocation is suppressed, leading to reduced transcription of downstream targets CTGF and CYR61, ultimately exerting a robust inhibitory effect on NSCLC cell ...

Capillary Electrophoresis-Laser Induced Fluorescence Method Development and Validation for Quantification of Nine Gangliosides—Application to Analysis of Cell Lines of CNS Origin

open access: yesMolecules
Gangliosides are sialic acid-containing glycosphingolipids that play an essential role in many biological and pathophysiological processes. They are present in high amounts in the central nervous system and their abnormal metabolism or expression has ...
