Numerical Simulation Study on Fracture Propagation Mechanisms in Terrestrial Shale Reservoirs

open access: yesEnergies
This study constructs a hydraulic-coupled phase-field fracture model based on the phase-field method, employing a granular random distribution model combined with a fractability evaluation index to comprehensively analyze the influence of multiple ...

Hyperactive ice‐binding proteins stabilize cell membranes and improve resistance to dehydration stress in Caenorhabditis elegans

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
TisIBP8, a fungal‐derived hyperactive ice‐binding protein, helps Caenorhabditis elegans survive dehydration. It localizes near cell membranes, reduces cell damage, and helps maintain membrane structure during drying. These results suggest that ice‐binding proteins can protect cells from dehydration stress as well as freezing stress.

Geophysical field theory and method

open access: yes, 1993
This book contains information about the theory of electromagnetic fields in conducting mediums. It describes the theoretical foundation of electromagnetic methods used in all areas of exploration geophysics, including a study of the earth's deep layers.

Semisharp phase field method for quantitative phase change simulations

open access: yes, 2003
The standard phase field model for simulation of phase change requires an asymptotic analysis in a vanishing interface width, in order to connect the model parameters to the sharp interface parameters, which has hampered the quantitative usefulness of ...

Intelligent UAV Navigation in Smart Cities Using Phase-Field Deep Neural Networks: A Comprehensive Simulation Study

open access: yesVehicles
This paper proposes the integration of the phase-field method (PFM) with deep neural networks (DNNs) for UAV navigation in smart city environments. Using the proposed approach, simulations of an intelligent navigation and obstacle avoidance framework for

Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.

Improved Artificial Potential Field Method for Robotic Path Planning

open access: yes, 2020
Determination of a collision free path for a robot between start and goal positions through obstacles cluttered in a workspace is central to the design of an autonomous robot path planning.

Hyperosmotic stress‐induced redistribution of pre‐mRNA cleavage factor I subunits is associated with shifts in alternative polyadenylation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Hyperosmotic stress triggers the relocation of the CFIm complex from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. This shift creates a nuclear ‘stoichiometric bottleneck’, limiting CFIm availability for mRNA processing. Consequently, specific mRNAs like NUDT21 and DICER1 undergo targeted 3′UTR shortening, demonstrating how spatial protein dynamics drive rapid ...
