Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Correlation based method for phase identification in a three phase LV distribution network [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Low voltage distribution networks feature a high degree of load unbalance and the addition of rooftop photovoltaic is driving further unbalances in the network.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Phase-type distribution models for performance evaluation of condition-based maintenance

open access: yesProduction and Manufacturing Research: An Open Access Journal
Condition-based maintenance (CBM) is gaining attention due to sensor and cloud-based analytics advancements, but research on its impact on system-level performance is limited.

Consumer Phase Identification in a Three Phase Unbalanced LV Distribution Network

open access: yes, 2012
A new technique is presented for automatically identifying the phase connection of domestic customers. Voltage information from a reference three phase house is correlated with voltage information from other customer electricity meters on the same ...

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Lifetime Distribution for a Mixed Redundant System with Imperfect Switch and Components Having Phase–Type Time-to-Failure Distribution

open access: yesMathematics
Recently, a mixed redundancy was introduced among the redundant design strategies to achieve a more reliable system within the equivalent resources.

Sequential Three-Phase Power Flow Calculation for Radial Distribution Systems via Three-Phase Z-Bus Distribution Factor

open access: yes, 2012
[[abstract]]This paper aims to develop a sequential three-phase power flow program with three-phase ZBus distribution factor(TZBD) for power flow calculation. First, using monthly energy consumption of customers in a customer information system (CIS) and

Moment Distributions of Phase Type [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
In this paper we prove that the class of distributions on the positive reals with a rational Laplace transform, also known as matrix-exponential distributions, is closed under formation of moment distributions. In particular, the results are hence valid for the well known class of phase-type distributions.
