Phase retrieval for sparse signals

open access: yesApplied and Computational Harmonic Analysis, 2014
The aim of this paper is to build up the theoretical framework for the recovery of sparse signals from the magnitude of the measurement. We first investigate the minimal number of measurements for the success of the recovery of sparse signals without the phase information.

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Low-Bit-Depth Detection for Phase Retrieval with Higher Efficiency in Holographic Data Storage

open access: yesPhotonics
In the past, comprehensive information was imperative for image processing, prompting a preference for high-depth cameras. However, in our research, we discovered that the abundance of image details may impede phase retrieval.

Time-reversed optical focusing through scattering media by digital full phase and amplitude recovery using a single phase-only SLM [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences, 2015
Focusing light though scattering media beyond the ballistic regime is a challenging task in biomedical optical imaging. This challenge can be overcome by wavefront shaping technique, in which a time-reversed (TR) wavefront of scattered light is generated

Hypercomplex phase retrieval

open access: yes
Hypercomplex signal processing (HSP) offers powerful tools for analyzing and processing multidimensional signals by explicitly exploiting inter-dimensional correlations through Clifford algebra. In recent years, hypercomplex formulations of the phase retrieval (PR) problem, wheren a complex-valued signal is recovered from intensity-only measurements ...

Projections and phase retrieval

open access: yesApplied and Computational Harmonic Analysis, 2017
We characterize collections of orthogonal projections for which it is possible to reconstruct a vector from the magnitudes of the corresponding projections. As a result we are able to show that in an $M$-dimensional real vector space a vector can be reconstructed from the magnitudes of its projections onto a generic collection of $N \geq 2M-1 ...

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Phase Retrieval Utilizing Particle Swarm Optimization

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2018
Phase retrieval is an important tool for image recovery techniques based on Fourier spectrum. Different iterative algorithms have been developed to retrieve phase information.

Transcriptional profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles from prebiopsy prostate cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...
