5-Bit RF MEMS Phase Shifter Development in Ku Band for Phased Array Applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
MEMS based devices represent an extremely attractive alternative to MESFET devices for realization of the programmable phase shifters. The stable operation of RF MEMS devices is impacted by the actuation voltage, restoration force and the structural ...

Mechanisms of IgE‐mediated food allergy and the role of allergen‐specific B cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Food allergy arises when allergen‐specific B cells preferentially produce immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies against harmless foods. This article explains the mechanisms driving IgE‐mediated reactions, highlights the central role of these B cells, and discusses how natural tolerance (NT) and oral immunotherapy (OIT) can reshape allergic immune responses.

The Faraday Quantum Clock and Non-local Photon Pair Correlations [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
We study the use of the Faraday effect as a quantum clock for measuring traversal times of evanescent photons through magneto-refractive structures. The Faraday effect acts both as a phase-shifter and as a filter for circular polarizations.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Synthesis of the phase shifter for complex signal

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений России: Радиоэлектроника, 2015
It is proposed algorithm for construction of the phase shifter for complex signal, which gives any but constant the phase shift for square component in given range of the frequency.

A Self-Body-Biasing Network of Vector Sum Phase Shifter for Reduction of Output Capacitance Variation and Supply Current Variation

open access: yesIEEE Access
This paper presents the self-body-biasing effects of a vector-sum phase shifter(VSPS) in 0.13- $\mu $ m CMOS technology. The self-body-biasing network is simply implemented by connecting the drain and body terminals of a vector-sum MOSFET amplifier ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Design of 90 degree-switched-line Phase Shifter with Constant Phase Shift Using CRLH TL [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The design of a 90 degree-switched-line phase shifter using composite right/left handed transmission line (CRLH TL) is presented in this paper. To achieve a relatively constant phase shift over a large bandwidth, a CRLH TL implemented using lumped ...

A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Wide-band variable transversal phase-shifter [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
We present a novel broadband phase-shifter based on a transversal filter configuration. This approach allows flexible control of the amplitude response while providing continuous variation of a linear phase slope. Numerical examples, both ideal and using
