Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

FISST Based Method for Multi-Target Tracking in the Image Plane of Optical Sensors
A finite set statistics (FISST)-based method is proposed for multi-target tracking in the image plane of optical sensors. The method involves using signal amplitude information in probability hypothesis density (PHD) filter which is derived from FISST to

Thioketal (TK) polymers are promising biomaterials due to their selective biodegradation by reactive oxygen species (ROS), but they respond slowly to physiologic doses of ROS. Here, the TK bond's pendant groups are modified to enhance the degradation of TK‐based implants both in vitro and in vivo.

Coagulative granular hydrogels are composed of packed thrombin‐functionalized microgels that catalyze the conversion of fibrinogen into a secondary fibrin network, filling the interstitial voids. This bio‐inspired approach stabilizes the biomaterial to match the robustness of bulk hydrogels without compromising injectability, mimicking the initial ...

Robust Student’s T Distribution Based PHD/CPHD Filter for Multiple Targets Tracking Using Variational Bayesian Approach [PDF]
Measurement-outliers caused by non-linear observation model or random disturbance will lead to the accuracy decline of a target tracking filter. This paper proposes a robust probability hypothesis density (PHD) filter to handle the measurement-outlier ...

Smooth Variable Structure Filter in Random Finite Set Applications
Data association and filter robustness are two key problems for general multiple target tracking. Classic data association methods have high computational complexity, and the gold standard Kalman Filter (KF) suffers when the motion model does not match ...

Flexoelectrically Induced Polar Topology in Twisted SrTiO3 Membranes
Twisted SrTiO3 bilayers host polar vortices of flexoelectric origin, revealed through combined experiment and theory. By reconstructing polarization from the toroidal moment of strain gradients, the work establishes a 3D chiral state with broken inversion and mirror symmetries.

Associating a red‐NIR phosphorescent octahedral hexanuclear molybdenum cluster compound with hexaethyleneoxide chains bearing mesogenic units on both ends leads to an emissive hybrid liquid crystal showing mesomorphism on a very unusual temperature range down to −25°C.
