Styryl pyranones with apoptosis activities from the sporocarps of Phellinus igniarius
Phytochemistry Letters, 2021Abstract Three previously unreported compounds, phelliigniarin A (1), phelliigniarin B (2), phelliigniarin C (3), and seven known compounds were isolated and identified from the sporocarps of Phellinus igniarius. These structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic analysis.

Lanostanes fromPhellinus igniariusand Their iNOS Inhibitory Activities
Planta Medica, 2009Four new lanostanol-type triterpenoids, igniarens A - D ( 1- 4), were isolated from the fruit body of Phellinus igniarius together with two known triterpenoids, and two known ergostanes. These four new compounds were identified by spectroscopic analysis as 22 R-hydroxy-24-methylene-29-norlanost-7, 9(11)-dien-3-one (1), 3alpha,22 R-dihydroxy-24 ...

The current use of Phellinus igniarius by the Eskimos of Western Alaska
Mycologist, 2002The Inupiaq and Yup'ik Eskimos of western Alaska have used Phellinus igniarius for hundreds of years by burning the basidiocarps and mixing the ashes with tobacco. A previous publication (Mycologist 15: p.4) reported the historic use of this fungus and documented natural history museum collections of sporophores and special ornate boxes for holding the

Physical, Chemical and Structural Analysis of Phellinus Igniarius Polysaccharides
Advanced Materials Research, 2011This paper studied the physical, chemical properties and structure of phellinus igniarius polysaccharides (PIPS). PIPS is negative on iodine potassium iodide solution test, positive on a-naphthol reaction, and negative on Fehling reagent test. Viscosity of exopolysaccharide (EPS) and intracellular polysaccharides (IPS) at 25 °C was 0.85 dL/g and 1.20 ...

Analysis of phellinus igniarius effects on gastric cancer cells by atomic force microscopy
Micron, 2023Gastric cancer is one of the common malignant tumors in the world, which originates from the gene mutation of human cells. In this work, an atomic force microscope was used to quantitatively detect the changes of multiple physical parameters such as the cell morphology, surface roughness, elasticity modulus and adhesion force before and after Phellinus
