Phellinus igniarius and its closest relatives in Europe

Mycological Research, 1995
Five species of the Phellinus igniarius group were characterized by pairing tests and RFLP (restriction fragment length polymorphism) data of enzymatically amplified rDNA. There was good agreement between pairing tests and RFLP data of the chosen rDNA region; together these characters provide a valuable tool for identification of taxa.

A phellinus igniarius polysaccharide/chitosan-arginine hydrogel for promoting diabetic wound healing

International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, 2023
Inadequate angiogenesis and inflammation at the wound site have always been a major threat to skin wounds, especially for diabetic wounds that are difficult to heal. Therefore, hydrogel dressings with angiogenesis and antibacterial properties are very necessary in practical applications.

[Separation and regeneration of protoplast from Phellinus igniarius].

Zhongguo Zhong yao za zhi = Zhongguo zhongyao zazhi = China journal of Chinese materia medica, 2009
To study the conditions on separation and regeneration of protoplast from Phellinus igniarius. The effects of enzymolysis conditions of P. igniarius mycelia on yield of protoplast and culturing conditons on regeneration ratio of protoplast were investigated. When the 8 days-old mycelia was hydrolysed by 1.5% of lywallzyme adding to driselase of 0. 5% and

Partial characterization of a phenolic pigment from sporocarps of Phellinus igniarius

Phytochemistry, 1975
Abstract A dark brown phenolic polymer, isolated from mature sporocarps of Phellinus igniarius (DC. ex Fr.) Quel., is responsible for the darkening of sporocarp tissue when a drop of base is applied. The pigment is rich in aliphatic as well as phenolic hydroxyl groups, and also contains significant numbers of carboxyls and carbonyls.

[Study on HPLC fingerprint of ethanol extract of Phellinus igniarius].

Zhong yao cai = Zhongyaocai = Journal of Chinese medicinal materials, 2015
To establish the HPLC fingerprint of ethanol extract of Phellinus igniarius ( EEPI), and to evaluate its quality.Adopted 0.2% phosphoric acid -methanol as mobile phase with a SHISEIDO CAPCELL PAK C18 column (250 mm x 4.6 mm, 5 microm), the flow rate was 1.0 mL/min,and the detection wavelength was set at 395 nm. Inoscavin A was used as reference peak to

Antiproliferative and antimetastatic effects of the ethanolic extract of Phellinus igniarius (Linnearus: Fries) Quelet

Journal of Ethnopharmacology, 2008
Phellinus igniarius (Linnearus: Fries) Quelet (Phellinus igniarius) has been used in oriental countries for treatment of various diseases including cancer. However, it is unclear how Phellinus igniarius exerts anticancer effects. In this study the ethanolic extract from the fruiting body of Phellinus igniarius (EEPI) was used to evaluate the ...

Purification, characterization and antitumor activity of polysaccharides extracted from Phellinus igniarius mycelia

Carbohydrate Polymers, 2015
Water-soluble intracellular polysaccharides (IPS) were extracted from cultured mycelia of Phellinus igniarius. The IPS were purified by ethanol fractional precipitation, ion-exchange and size exclusion chromatography in that order. Homogeneous polysaccharide IPSW-1, IPSW-2, IPSW-3, and IPSW-4 were obtained, which molecular characteristics were examined

Enhanced production of total flavones and exopolysaccharides via Vitreoscilla hemoglobin biosynthesis in Phellinus igniarius

Bioresource Technology, 2011
The Vitreoscilla hemoglobin gene (vgb) was expressed by chromosomal integration in Phellinus igniarius to alleviate oxygen limitation and improve metabolites yields during submerged fermentation. Firstly, an expression vector containing vgb was constructed, and transformed into protoplast from P. igniarius.

[Purification and characterization of peroxidase from Phellinus igniarius (author's transl)].

Archives of microbiology, 1976
A Peroxidase (EC 1.11.1.7) of the basidiomycet Phellinus igniarius was derived from mycel and a medium containing glucose and extract of yeast by using various methods of preparation. The enzyme resists extreme conditions (pH, temperature salt concentration). Its optimum pH for activities is in the acid range. Two isoenzymes were found.
