Phenotypic variability analysis of key sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L) moench) genotypes under dry lowland areas

open access: yesReproduction and Breeding
Sorghum is a climate-resilient food security and nutrition crop, which has been produced as a staple food in the semi-arid tropical regions of the world.

Estimation of Genetic Variability, Heritability and Genetic Advance in Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) Genotypes for Tuber Yield and Yield Related Traits

open access: yesTurkish Journal of Agriculture: Food Science and Technology, 2021
Potato is a high potential food security crop in Ethiopia. Genetic variability is the basis of all crop improvement programs. The study was conducted at Adet in 2018 with the objective of assessing the extent and pattern of genetic variability of potato ...

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Components of variance and heritability of resistance to important fungal diseases agents in grapevine [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Agricultural Sciences (Belgrade), 2006
In four interspecies crossing combinations of grapevine (Seedling 108 x Muscat Hamburg, Muscat Hamburg x Seedling 108, S.V.I8315 x Muscat Hamburg and Muscat Hamburg x S.V.I2375) during three years period, resistance to important fungal diseases agents ...

Genetic variability, correlations and path coefficient analysis of components of seed yield in cowpea (Vigna unguiculata) [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
Twenty-six varieties of cowpea (Vigna unguiculata L Walp,) were evaluated in the field to study genetic variability, inter-character relationships as well as the path analysis oj components oj seed yield. Seed yield was the most variable character with

Variability, Correlation, Path Coefficient and Genetic Diversity Analysis in Indian Mustard

open access: yesInternational Journal of Environment and Climate Change, 2022
Phenotypic and genotypic coefficient of variation (PCV & GCV), heritability, genetic advance (GA), correlation, path and diversity analysis for fourteen characters in twenty-five genotypes of Indian mustard (Brassica juncea L.) were evaluated for seed ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Genetic variability and association of yield contributing traits in advanced breeding lines of soybean

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Plant Breeding, 2022
Characterization of genotypes for various traits is a basic and very essential criterion for crop varietal improvement programmes. Under the present investigation fifty seven advanced breeding lines along with three best checks (JS 20-98, JS 20-116 and

Large-effect flowering time mutations reveal conditionally adaptive paths through fitness landscapes in Arabidopsis thaliana. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Contrary to previous assumptions that most mutations are deleterious, there is increasing evidence for persistence of large-effect mutations in natural populations.

Transgressivity in Key Functional Traits Rather Than Phenotypic Plasticity Promotes Stress Tolerance in A Hybrid Cordgrass [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Hybridization might promote offspring fitness via a greater tolerance to environmental stressors due to heterosis and higher levels of phenotypic plasticity.
