Application of PC-SAFT and cubic equations of state for the correlation of solubility of some pharmaceutical and statin drugs in SC-CO2 [PDF]

open access: yesChemical Industry and Chemical Engineering Quarterly, 2013
In this work, the solubilities of some anti-inflammatory (nabumetone, phenylbutazone and salicylamide) and statin drugs (fluvastatin, atorvastatin, lovastatin, simvastatin and rosuvastatin) were correlated using the Perturbed-Chain Statistical ...

Pneumocoele sinus: Computed tomographic findings and surgical approach in a 2‐year‐old Cob filly

open access: yesEquine Veterinary Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Pneumosinus dilatans and pneumocoele sinus describe abnormal hyperpneumatisation of paranasal sinuses, with the latter being accompanied by thinning of bony walls. Although recognised in human and equine medicine, to the authors' knowledge, this condition's computed tomography (CT) findings and successful surgical approach in horses

Disposable negative pressure wound therapy system enhances punch graft acceptance in equine distal limb wounds

open access: yesEquine Veterinary Education, EarlyView.
Summary This case series describes the use of a disposable, canister‐free negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) system (PICO®) in combination with punch grafting for the treatment of distal limb wounds in three horses. Each horse presented with complex traumatic injuries resulting in delayed or inadequate healing of distal limb wounds.
