ABSTRACT Triple‐negative breast cancer (TNBC) is an aggressive subtype of breast cancer characterized by high metastatic potential, poor prognosis, and limited effective therapeutic options. In this study, we investigated the molecular mechanisms underlying the anticancer effects of the nucleolin (NCL)‐targeting DNA aptamer AS1411 using label‐free ...

Entomopathogenic fungi effectively suppressed the emerging soybean pest Euschistus crenator, with isolates LCMAP106, UFSM‐01 and a commercial bioinsecticide achieving the highest mortality. These agents did not reduce parasitism or survival of the egg parasitoid Telenomus podisi, highlighting their potential for integration into environmentally ...

The overlap parameter across an inverse first order phase transition in a 3D spin-glass
We investigate the thermodynamic phase transition taking place in the Blume-Capel model in presence of quenched disorder in three dimensions (3D). In particular, performing Exchange Montecarlo simulations, we study the behavior of the order parameters ...

Galaxy-CMB and galaxy-galaxy lensing on large scales: sensitivity to primordial non-Gaussianity [PDF]
A convincing detection of primordial non-Gaussianity in the local form of the bispectrum, whose amplitude is given by the fNL parameter, offers a powerful test of inflation.

Gene‐specific double‐stranded RNAs effectively silence essential genes in the invasive citrus pest Delottococcus aberiae, leading to significant mortality through both microinjection and oral delivery. These results provide proof of concept for RNA interference‐based biopesticides as selective and sustainable tools for citrus integrated pest management.

INDUSTRIAL BIG DATA PIPELINE FOR WIND TURBINE PHM IN A LARGE MANUFACTURING FACILITY
Wind turbines generate a wealth of data which can be effectively used to improve maintenance strategies and drive down operations and maintenance ( O & M ) costs, which account for 20-25 % of the cost of generation of wind energy.

PHM Design Based on Cooperative Design
For complex systems, such as the aircraft, the implementation of prognostics and health management (PHM) techniques can effectively improves the system performance and achieves the required reliability, safety and supportability. Traditionally, the design of the PHM system and the aircraft is often implemented separately and sequentially, which is not ...

Management of Burn Injuries in Brazil by Total Body Surface Area Affected
Major Burns are life‐threatening injuries that cause approximately 2500 deaths per year in Brazil. The Brazilian healthcare system has 80 hospitals with Burn Care Units (BCUs). However, non specialized hospitals also manage major burn injuries. The aim of this study was to evaluate differences in burn management and outcomes between BCUs and hospitals ...
