Phosphoryl Radicals from Trivalent Iminyl Phosphines: A Photocatalytic Approach to N‐Phosphoryl Azetidines

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Photochemically generated phosphoryl radicals from iminyl phosphines enable strain‐release addition to azabicyclobutanes, providing access to elusive N‐phosphoryl azetidines. Combined experimental, computational, and EPR studies reveal an unconventional water‐assisted photoredox pathway.

Revealing the Role of CYP346 Family Genes on Phosphine Resistance in Indian Populations of Tribolium castaneum

open access: yesFrontiers in Bioscience-Landmark
Background: Phosphine resistance in Tribolium castaneum challenges grain storage. This study investigates the impact of cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzymes and CYP346 family genes on phosphine resistance in Indian Tribolium castaneum populations.

Stretchable Energy Storage with Eutectic Gallium Indium Alloy

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 15, Issue 11, March 18, 2025.
A highly stretchable liquid metal‐based electrode is developed via a one‐step process, retaining conductivity and capacitance after mechanical deformation up to 900% strain. The stretchable all‐solid‐state device provides a areal energy density of 43 µWh cm⁻2 after 150% strain.

Potential for using pheromone trapping and molecular screening in phosphine resistance research

open access: yesJulius-Kühn-Archiv, 2018
Phosphine resistance monitoring typically involves bioassays of beetles from population samples collected from grain storage facilities. Insects are classified into susceptible or resistant phenotypes based on mortality or survival at one or more ...

Phosphine Resistance in North American Field Populations of the Lesser Grain Borer, Rhyzopertha dominica (Coleoptera: Bostrichidae)

open access: yes, 2017
Phosphine is the most widely used fumigant for stored grain insect pests, and resistance to phosphine has evolved in several species worldwide. This study was designed to determine the presence of phosphine resistance in 34 populations of Rhyzopertha ...

Automated Alignment Powered by Computer Vision Streamlines the Two‐Photon Polymerization‐Based Micro 3D Printing of Multiscale and Multimaterial Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Two‐photon polymerization enables high‐resolution microfabrication, but performing alignment when printing multiple structures is difficult. Here, we present a fast, robust, and open‐source protocol for automated alignment on Nanoscribe systems. Achieving ≈0.4 μm accuracy in under 5 s, our protocol reduces time and error in multimaterial printing. This

A novel approach to limit the development of phosphine resistance in Western Australia

open access: yes, 2010
Escalating development of resistance to phosphine is of concern to grain storage operators world wide. In Western Australia 85% of grain produced is exported with a guarantee through legislation that it is free of all grain insects.

Concentric Rheostat Decoupled 3D Force‐Sensing Module for Smart Table Tennis Training

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A 3D‐printed sensor array intrinsically decouples normal and shear forces through a unique concentric structural design. By integrating piezoresistive, sliding area‐varying capacitive, and concentric rheostat mechanisms, the 12‐sensor module achieves high‐resolution 3D force mapping without complex algorithms.

Utility of biotechnology based decision making tools in postharvest grain pest management: An Australian case study

open access: yesJulius-Kühn-Archiv, 2018
A major concern for the Australian grain industry in recent years is the constant threat of resistance to the key disinfestant phosphine in a range of stored grain pests.
