AI‐Assisted Digital Single‐Molecule Activity Tracker for Decoupling Intrinsic Heterogeneity from Photo‐Oxidative Damage in High‐Photon‐Flux Enzymology

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Employing a digital single‐molecule activity tracker (dSMAT), this research demonstrates that high‐photon‐flux irradiation drives progressive oxidative scarring in polymerases. Unlike simple thermal denaturation, real‐time kinetic tracking dynamically visualizes enzymes degrading into multiple impaired subpopulations.

Chelator‐Free Radiometal Labeling Inside Engineered Affibodies

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Affibodies are compact and robust three‑helix binders used in imaging and therapy. Engineering a triple‑cysteine motif into their core enables chelator‑free binding of important radiometals, like Bi(III), Pb(II), In(III), and Ga(III) with rapid uptake and exceptional stability.

Modeling the Efficacy of Phosphine on Eggs of Major Stored-Product Insect Species: Investigating Strains with Varying Susceptibility Levels

open access: yesAgriculture
Phosphine is a widely utilized fumigant insecticide in stored-product facilities; however, its excessive application and improper usage have contributed to the emergence of resistance in insect populations.

Geographic Variation in Phosphine Resistance Among North American Populations of the Red Flour Beetle (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae)

open access: yes, 2017
The red flour beetle, Tribolium castaneum (Herbst), is a common stored-product pest found worldwide. Phosphine, hydrogen phosphide (PH3), is the most commonly used fumigant for stored grains, for which genetically based resistance has been recorded for ...

REGγ Suppresses Ferroptosis and Induces Drug Resistance by Degrading WDR6 in Chondrosarcoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Here, we identified REGγ as a susceptibility factor in chondrosarcoma. Our study demonstrates that abnormally activated REGγ‐20S proteasome promotes chondrosarcoma development and progression. Further validation in animal models revealed that blocking REGγ function induced ferroptosis, suppressed malignant progression of chondrosarcoma, and uncovered a

3D‐Printable Nanoporous Thermosets via Disulfide‐Based Polymerization‐Induced Microphase Separation

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
α‐Lipoic acid‐derived degradable macro‐chain transfer agents (macroCTAs) with tunable hydrophilicity drive polymerization‐induced microphase separation (PIMS) in photocurable resins. Selective etching via disulfide cleavage then generates interconnected nanoporous thermosets, and compatibility with liquid‐crystal display (LCD) 3D printing enables the ...

Studies on phosphine toxicity and resistance mechanisms in Caenorhabditis elegans

open access: yes, 2008
Phosphine, hydrogen phosphide (PH3), gas is a fumigant that is used worldwide to protect stored grain from infestation by insect pests. Despite a long history of phosphine use, little is known about either the mode of action of this compound or the ...

The movement abilities and resource location behaviour of Tribolium castaneum: phosphine resistance and its genetic influences

open access: yes, 2017
Resistance to the fumigant phosphine has been demonstrated to impact on the dispersal abilities of the stored product pest Tribolium castaneum (Herbst) (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae).

A CAPS marker for determination of strong phosphine resistance in Tribolium castaneum from Brazil

open access: yes, 2020
Strong phosphine resistance in Tribolium castaneum is due to point mutations in DNA that code for amino acid changes of P45S and/or G131S in the enzyme dihydrolipoamide dehydrogenase (DLD).

Mucoadhesive Peptide‐Catalase Self‐Assembled Nano‐Formulation for Effective Treatment of Mucosal Inflammatory Diseases

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CR8L10 is self‐assembled with catalase (CAT) to form CR8L10@CAT nanocomplexes, which can anchor to mucosal surfaces via thiol‐disulfide exchange with mucin, thereby enhancing their mucosal retention. The efficient reactive oxygen species (ROS) scavenging at inflamed sites would then result in successful treatment in both the intravesical IC/BPS model ...
