From biology to biotechnology: Host‐regulation factors from parasitoid wasps are a source of bioactive molecules with translational potential

open access: yesInsect Molecular Biology, EarlyView.
Parasitoid wasps deploy maternal and embryonic factors to reprogramme host physiology. Venom, calyx fluid, polydnaviruses, teratocytes and larval secretions act in a coordinated, compartmentalised manner. Host‐regulation factors are promising sources of insecticidal, antimicrobial and bioinspired translational molecules.

INHIBITORS OF CAMP PHOSPHODIESTERASE IN MEDICINAL-PLANTS .17. INHIBITION OF ADENOSINE 3',5'-CYCLIC-MONOPHOSPHATE PHOSPHODIESTERASE BY FLAVONOIDS FROM LICORICE ROOTS AND 4-ARYLCOUMARINS

open access: yes, 1991
Isoliquiritigenin, glabridin, licoarylcoumarin and licoricidin were identified as strong inhibitors of adenosine 3',5'-cyclic monophosphate (cAMP) phosphodiesterase in waste materials which were obtained during the industrial extraction of glycyrrhizin ...

Treatment‐associated phenotype switching between psoriasis and atopic dermatitis

open access: yesJournal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, EarlyView.
This international, multicentre real‐world study of 148 patients’ documents treatment‐associated, bidirectional phenotype switching between psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. Psoriasis‐to‐eczematous switches occurred predominantly with IL‐17 and IL‐23 inhibitors, whereas AD‐to‐psoriasiform switches occurred exclusively during treatment with biologic ...
