Mechanistic investigation of Liujing Toutong tablet in the treatment of cerebral ischemia–reperfusion injury in rats by the integration of serum pharmacochemistry and metabolomics

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
The research strategy for pharmacodynamics, serum pharmacochemistry, metabolomics, and network pharmacology analysis method in intervention effects of LTT are illustrated. Abstract Background Liujing Toutong tablet (LTT) is a traditional Chinese patent medicine.

Cloning and characterisation of phospholipase C X-domain containing proteins (PLCXDs)

open access: yes, 2015
Members of the phosphoinositide-specific phospholipase C (PI-PLC) enzyme family play a fundamental role in cell signalling pathways by regulating cytosolic calcium and/or the activity of several protein kinases. This thesis reports the identification,

Citrus aurantium honey‐mediated gut homeostasis and anti‐inflammation via Thorl/Nprl2‐TORC1 signaling: Network pharmacology and Drosophila validation

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
The study employed a four‐tiered strategy: (1) UHPLC‐FTMS profiling of Citrus aurantium honey to characterize its chemical composition; (2) network pharmacology analysis integrating target prediction, protein–protein interaction networks, and KEGG pathway enrichment to identify the Thor1/Nprl2‐TORC1 axis as a key mechanistic pathway; (3) in vitro ...

Identification of a novel class of mammalian phosphoinositol-specific phospholipase C enzymes.

open access: yes, 2010
Phosphoinositol (PhoIns)-specific phospholipase C enzymes (PLCs) are central to the inositol lipid signaling pathways and contribute to intracellular Ca2+ release and protein kinase C activation. Five distinct classes of PhoIns-specific PLCs are known to

Therapeutic Applications of Stimuli‐Based Release and Engineering of Extracellular Vesicles

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
This review summarizes the effects of endogenous and exogenous stimuli, their effects on the natural release of extracellular vesicles, as well as their uptake and release. It also gives an overview of stimuli‐responsive EVs and their therapeutic applications. Extracellular vesicles (EVs), nano‐ to microsized lipid bilayer membrane‐bound particles, are

Comparison of Receptor‐Mediated Endocytosis and Its Application to Enhance DNA Transfection by TFAMoplex

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
We developed an assay to distinguish cellular binding from internalization. Compatible with microscopy and high‐throughput screening, the method identifies ligand‐mediated uptake. Applying top candidates to a protein‐based DNA carrier enhanced transfection efficiency, providing a rational strategy to improve non‐viral gene delivery systems.

Phospholipase C-β 2 interacts with mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 3

open access: yes, 2002
Phospholipase C (PLC)-β enzymes (isoenzymes β1–β4) are activated by G protein subunits, leading to the generation of intracellular messengers which mobilize calcium and activate protein kinase C.

The characterisation of Plc1 : a phospholipase C enzyme identified in the fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe [PDF]

open access: yes
The plc1 gene product (Plc1) of the fission yeast Schizosaccharomycespombe (Sz. pombe) encodes a phosphoinositide-specific phospholipase C (PLC) and most closely resembles the δ class of the PLC isozymes.

The Effects of Enzyme Pretreatment Extraction on Lipid Recovery With Normal Phase HPLC

open access: yesJournal of the American Oil Chemists' Society, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT With the increasing interest in the commercialization of microalgal fermentation‐based products, sustainable and efficient oil extraction methods have been developed for manufacturing and analytical testing. Due to the variability and resilience of micro‐algae cell walls, traditional lipid extraction methods such as Folch and Bligh and Dyer ...

Fasting and Refeeding Mediated Phospholipid Remodeling Plays an Important Role in Improving Meat Quality of Aged Laying Hens

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study explored fasting‐induced physiological remodeling effects on meat quality in aged laying hens. Fasting for 15 days (F15) significantly reduced abdominal fat, intermuscular fat width, subcutaneous fat thickness, and liver index versus pre‐fasting (F0) (p < 0.05), which recovered post‐refeeding.
