Macrophages‐derived small extracellular vesicles regulate chondrocyte proliferation and affect osteoarthritis progression via upregulating Osteopontin expression

open access: yesJournal of Cell Communication and Signaling, Volume 19, Issue 2, June 2025.
Abstract Small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) are considered promising gene‐delivery vehicles for the treatment of osteoarthritis (OA). This study aimed to explore the molecular mechanism by which M2 macrophage‐derived sEVs (M2‐sEVs) modulate chondrocyte proliferation and apoptosis, thereby affecting OA progression.

Role and Mechanisms of the mTOR Signalling Pathway in the Synthesis of Milk Components

open access: yesModern Agriculture, Volume 3, Issue 1, June 2025.
The regulatory network system of mTOR regulates lactose, milk fat, and milk protein. Milk is urgently needed for the strong development of the dairy industry to meet the growing demand and ensure that the nutritional needs of the world's population are met.

Paleo‐evo‐devo implications of a revised conceptualization of enameloids and enamels

open access: yesBiological Reviews, Volume 100, Issue 3, Page 1047-1066, June 2025.
ABSTRACT Understanding the origin and evolution of the mineralized skeleton is crucial for unravelling vertebrate history. However, several limitations hamper our progress. The first obstacle is the lack of uniformity and clarity in the literature for the definition of the tissues of concern, especially of enameloid(s) and enamel(s), resulting in ...

Intrinsically Disordered Regions Define Unique Protein Interaction Networks in CHD Family Remodelers

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 39, Issue 10, 31 May 2025.
The protein–protein interaction (PPI) networks were mapped for the intrinsically disordered N‐ and C‐termini of nine CHD family members. AlphaFold Multimer was used to predict interaction interfaces, with a focus on the interaction between the CHD4 C‐terminus and GATAD2B.
