Research Progress on Chiral Supramolecular Sensors for Enantiomer Detection

open access: yesChemosensors, 2023
Chiral substances occur naturally in abiotic and living systems. The recognition and detection of chiral substances in the natural environment or their analysis and detection in biological systems are crucial.

Anaerobic photoinduced Cu(0/I)-mediated Glaser coupling in a radical pathway

open access: yesNature Communications, 2023
The reaction mechanism of the historic copper-catalyzed Glaser coupling has been debated to be based on redox cycles of Cu ions in specific oxidation states or on a radical mechanism based on Cu(0)/Cu(I).

Prediction of above $20$ K superconductivity of blue phosphorus bilayer with metal intercalations [PDF]

open access: yes2D Materials 3, 035006 (2016), 2016
First-principles calculations predicted monolayer blue phosphorus to be an alternative two-dimensional allotrope of phosphorus, like the recently discovered monolayer black phosphorus. Due to its unique crystalline and electronic structure, blue phosphorus may be a promising candidate as a BCS-superconductor after proper intercalation.

Semiconducting layered blue phosphorus: A computational study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We investigate a previously unknown phase of phosphorus that shares its layered structure and high stability with the black phosphorus allotrope. We find the in-plane hexagonal structure and bulk layer stacking of this structure, which we call `blue phosphorus', to be related to graphite. Unlike graphite and black phosphorus, blue phosphorus displays a

Single‐cell/nanoparticle trajectories reveal two‐tier Lévy‐like interactions across bacterial swarms

open access: yesView, 2022
Swarming bacteria can organize themselves into different local communities, ranging from active cell rafts to reticular biofilms. How millions of motile and immotile cells are dynamically linked together and still function as a whole is a critical ...

Strength and Stability Analysis of a Single Walled Black Phosphorus Tube under Axial Compression [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Few-layered black phosphorus materials recently attract much attention due to its special electronic properties. As a Consequence, the nano-tube from a single-layer black phosphorus has been theoretically built. The corresponding electronic properties of such black phosphorus nano-tube were also evaluated numerically.

Scalable Fabrication of Light-Responsive Superhydrophobic Composite Phase Change Materials via Bionic-Engineered Wood for Solar–Thermal Energy Management

open access: yesMolecules
The growing demand for sustainable energy storage solutions has underscored the importance of phase change materials (PCMs) for thermal energy management. However, traditional PCMs are always inherently constrained by issues such as leakage, poor thermal
